I can't see anything on the forums about it so I'll ask - has anyone had problems with the signal quality being reported as -100 and the recording being 6K in size?

records fine, then, a little later (2nd part of the documentary):

Restarting the recording service seems to clear it because 10 minutes later after restarting:

I know the signal isn't great, but it does it on other channels which have a much stronger signal. Is there something that needs doing to trigger a refresh on the DVB device or something that the restart does but a stop and start recording doesn't?
Thanks - am loving gbpvr btw, being able to schedule my recordings from work is just awesome
How do you delete recordings that indicate "failed"? I've deleted the directory from my video folder and tried deleting it from inside gbpvr but nothing happens: it still displays failed in red. This is where say is was scheduled but the pc was powered down at the time.
just got myself a PVR150 and I am unable to get the driver to install.
It comes back with the 'The data is invalid; error.
I have tried the registry permission adjustments and deleting 'non-current' hardware in the device listing but to no avail.
I have also tried various drivers, again to no avail.
Anyone got any ideas?
I am running Win XP on an AMD3000+ on an NF7 mb with an XFX FX5700LE.
I'm using v97.13 and use xrecord to manage my recordings. However, I'm accumulating a good number of videos and need help organizing them. I'm looking for a tool or set of tools to help. Here is what I'm thinking as far as organization...
I have one drive dedicated to "current recordings"...this is where TV shows get recorded and watched from. I keep this pretty lean...either deleting files after I've watched them or archiving them. As mentioned earlier xrecord fills the bill here.
I have other drives throughout my network and/or attached via USB where "other recordings" live. Some of these come from xrecord archives, some come from other sources (ripped DVDs, home movies, digitized VHS tapes, etc). Its these "other recordings" that need organizational help. I would like to be able to easily add, rename and group (kids shows, movies, home movies, home improvement, reality, etc). Then also be able to easily get to and navigate through these in GBPVR (maybe via xrecord).
Can you folks lend me a hand in finding the right tools or changing my strategy? I've been looking into tools like mpegimport, addepisode, video archive, etc...the choices are making my head spin!!!
I tried to install the TV Guide Supercharger. I could not get it to work. I then uninsulated the gbpvr program hopping to return to the original program with only zap2it. When I tried to reinstall only the gbpvr program it will no longer find and recognize my Hauppauge PVR500 cards. Nothing I have tried has worked. I think the registry or program changes I made when trying to install the tv guide supercharger is causing the problems. Unfortunately I do not know how to change them back or even what there original configuration was. Help please.
I have some TV programs recorded that are at least 15G by size. My harddrive is filling up quickly and I am not sure how I can burn them to a DVD. I tried to use Nero and Sonic, but they both indicated that they could not store all the data. My questions are:
1) What software can be smart enough to store one large mpeg file to multiple DVDs?
2) What software can compress a large file to small enough file for a double-layer DVD?
Quick question I use Zap2it and I wonder is there anyway I can update the guide off line? I figure I need to ask here as the program connects to Zap2it and they really make it seem like they don't want such info to be public.
I ask this because I'm having connection issues for the last month or so at home. So I have to lug my computer to work, and download the update then take it back home and start the 5 minute process of reconnecting everyting.
I planning to add a Custom directory to the Themes for next release.
Do you use Custom Tasks ?
If you do what names are you using?
It would be possible to add "standard" task images for custom tasks....as
WebTVguide
Settings
Configure
Help
Forum
etc...
Then the task icon will show up automatically.
I also plan to add translations for some sub menus eg.
Music Menu
Photo Menu
Video Menu
etc.....
Hi all. I may have missed something in my reviewing of the GB-PVR website, or the Wiki, but can anyone tell me what the minimum and recommended amount of RAM is for a GB-PVR install on a Windows XP Pro machine.
Also, is there any limit to the number of tuners that GB-PVR will support? Would I be able to, for example, set up a computer with three dual-tuner capture cards and have GB-PVR record from all six tuners at once?
If I missed the anwer to either of these on the website or wiki, tell me, and I'll be happy to go back and re-read.
