Hey guys, I'm trying to use the music library to play music back through my TV, but the music library plays music back on my sound card, not through my Hauppage 350 card. Any ideas?
Searched the forums and didn't really see anything like this problem. When I attempt to playback recordings, the first time it will work and everytime after that it will freeze on the play or resume button. I looked at the logs and it simply cuts off after saying "preparing to play XXXX" without any error message.
If I use process explorer from sysinternals to view the gbpvr process, it shows an ever increasing number of page faults and increasing virtual memory usage.
Any hints or tips for me?
Machine is:
Windows XP Pro
P4 1.5GHz
256 MB SDRAM
ECS mobo
Nvidia 6200
300 GB Hitachi drive
Hauppauge PVR-150
Whenever I start to record something my whole system freezes, and I've got to do a reboot to start again. This seemed to coincide with upgrading to 97.13.
Log files are attached.
I've got an ATI Theater-550 card.
on an ASUS K8N-SLI-Premium mo-bo.
This didn't seem to happen (much) with GB-PVR v0.97.7
I'm moving to a new PC and want to start with as clean a PC as is reasonable, so I don't want to install un-needed software/drivers.
I have a single PVR150 card, and by the end of the week it will be fed by a Motorola DTC2500 cable box.
I've searched on the forum and there is conflicting info on how much of Hauppauge's software/drivers I need to have. I've downloaded: pvr150_500_basedriver_2043_24103.exe and pvr150_22_23257.exe (the second being labeled on the website as 'middleware')
I'll have a couple of DVD codecs from NERO, WinDVD and ULead installed as part of my other software on the box.
Do I need/want any other software/drivers from Hauppauge? (ie. IR Remote control application or IR Blaster setup program
I'm looking at setting my girlfriend's new (to her) PC up with a TV tuner so she can PVR her own shows and stop filling the disk on my HTPC...
Here's the sitch. It's a Dell Optiplex GX260 system I was gifted from my work. it takes half height PCI/AGP cards (one slot each). The other limitation is that, unless I pony up to buy a copy of Windows XP, I am stuck with Windows 2000 (not that bad of a situation, but read on).
Hauppage's site mentions Win2000 support for the regular PVR150, but not for the low profile PVR150. The product details page for the low pro card says XP and XP MCE only. So.... question for anyone who runs these cards - is it the same driver, low profile or not? As best I can tell, it is. And if it is, I highly suspect the low profile PVR150 would work just fine with Windows 2000.
Either way, I've been very happy with GBPVR thus far and you better believe that will be the software she's using.
I can't seem to get GB to detect my Diamond PVR560. This is a Conexant Falcon based card. Is this supported? If not, has anyone gotten this card to work in GB?
I tried looking around for something, program or website, that would serve as tv program reminder service and recommend shows to me base on past shows I marked as favorite. If anyone knows such a thing, please let me know.
Though it would be neat to add this feature to GB-PVR, make the input source optional, save favorite shows, and recommand related shows
Getting the error highlighted below when viewing certain AVI files. Generally speaking some files always work, some always fail. This is GBPVR 0.97.13.
I've tried the three dongle.bin files that come with this version of GB-PVR, no difference.
I can play the files back ont he PC running GB-PVR just fine.
The PC is an AMD 2700 with 1GB RAM, 100mbps NIC into 10/100 switch, which the MVP is also plugged into.
I am building a media center computer, nothing fancy, PIII - 1ghz, 512RAM, XP Pro, so I buy a ATI Theatre 550 Pro TV tuner card. Comes today, I am thinking great, I can get this in tonight and start tweaking it. Well I slowly realize that this TV tuner card has no TV output. I guess this is where me being a moron comes into play, I just assumed that a TV tuner card would have a TV out. It has two inputs for AV and TV and one FM tuner input.
So my question is now, I guess I have to go get a Video card with TV out, so does the quality of the video card here have any affect on my TV watching ability? Its not HD TV, it will just be regular cable and some DVD's. I just really hate to go spend another 60-70 bucks on this project for a video card with TV-out if I can get away with a cheaper 30-40 dollar one. Or even barring that .. is there a TV tuner card that has a TV out?
