I've never seen this happen before, but if for some reason, a scheduled recording fails, (in this case the PC was turned off) you cant then delete the listing of the failed recording. You can delete completed recordings, but not the failed ones.
And there are no folders or files associated with the recordings in the folder, so I cant delete them by hand...
I'm finally gonna make the jump and get a 46" Samsung DLP. I want to get HD service from DTV and be able to record it. Can that be done or is OTA the only option for recording? I currently record cable and DirecTV using a PVR150 and a Theatrix 550. All help with recommendationsis appreciated. Oh, and I don't think OTA HD is available in the boonies where I live.
I just discovered that net radio is not working for me in v0.97.9. Updatet to v0.97.13 but it did not help.
When I try to use my favourites gb-pvr freezes for a long time befor giving me this error:
"Failed to download stations definition: System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out at System.Net:FileWebRequest.GetResponse() at GBPVR.xba31869e4b679d0f.xbb1fe6ac04717ad(Object xe15d45da66d44713)"
It's the same for all my favourites, and all were working on previous versions (0.96.08, 0.95.16, 0.94.13, 0.93.10, 0.92.08). They are also working with winamp.
When I try the radio stations under "web", first gbpvr tries ("Trying: http.//..."), then I get "Failed to connect to radio station"
Common Image Plugin Skins Project
BlueMCE2 image naming is outdated in many ways.....and TitleLogos sizes don't match our needs. BlueMCE2 resource directory is full of images that are not used and plugin unique.
Defining a new Common Image Based Skin that will replace the BlueMCE2 Image Set, will benifit all Plugin Developers and Skin Designers. The plugin skin will be portable by drag and drop the plugin skin into the full skin. We ask all Plugin and Skin developers to help outwith creating the new plugin skins.
The work based on BlueMCE2 images is documented here:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Old initial text.
I will use this thread and first post to inform you what I a doing and the intentions.
Plugin developers and skinners have invested a lot of time in BlueMCE2 skins.
But it would be very easy to let BlueMCE2 plugin skins to tranform into a "default plugin skin" that could be supported by all skins, even a new image based core skin by Sub.
So what I am doing is.
Narrowing down the common images that are used for the plugins.
So far I have found 32 common images......but there will be more.....folder/icon related.
I will post a BlueMCE2 / BaseSkin image reference list later.
Copying and sometimes moving away plugin unique images from the /resources dir to plugin directory. This will make it easier to take a plugin and just drop in another skin.
BlueMCE2 have 3 different button sizes 165x32, 150x32 and 120x32. BlueMCE2 skinners have used all 3 as regular sub menu buttons. Inconsistent!
This will give us a bunch of images....that there is a need for. Later we can decide what to rename them to.
On the fly.....I am adjusting XML to make room for TitleLogos if it is possible in that plugin.
I am adding the Close / Home button in the upper right corner if possible.
I am adding the transparent overlay used for element positioning by skinners.
I am adding ButtonTextSelected if it is possible.
When doing this I'm thinking, why not having BaseSkins common images in the /resources dir instead. Dropping a graphical design ontop of an XML design would be easier.
I will post the BlueMCE2-X skin for plugin in developers to test with their plugins.
I would like to ave plugin developer/skinners to post BlueMCE2 skins for plugins that doesn't have a BlueMCE2 skin. I will include all post working XML design in the BlueMCE2-X skin.
Naming them "your name"_skin.xml in the plugin skin folder.
I have used GB-PVR for 5 months now and everything is great. I moved and had to re setup a new zapits lab thing for the right channels and also got an IR200L for the sattelite box. It changes channels well and everything. BUT!!! I have sound in Live TV but not in the recordings. I tryed hitting + in GB-PVR to make sure that it wasn't the problem. I also tested the video files in winamp, windows media player, and divx player and still no sound. So it has to be the recordings.
I am a newbie so help me please!!! I searched the forums and nothing.
I have searched the forums for hours and nothing that has helped.
I have XP Pro
with a sound blaster audigy gamer sound card
and a ATI TV Wonder Elite Card
I would post the error logs but I do not know how too but have seen others do it in the forums.
I use multiple users (sports, news, children, movies, etc...) for different categories. I don't use pin for faster access to video. Currently VA default to the same user when I exit back to the main menu. I have to power off and back on to login with a different user. Is it possible to have VA to logoff current user when I exit back to main menu? If not, can you add this on the next release.
For some unknown reason, earlier this week GBPVR started to crash when I resumed playback of a video or when I skipped (all skipping forms). I've tried switching from vmr7 to vmr9 then overlay with the appropriate codecs, but GBPVR continues to crash. I reinstalled .net 2.0 and the turmoil persists.
Also, using overlay with any video decoder other than intervideo own decoder produces sound during video playback but no video. I know not to use the cyberlink decoder with any vmr favor. In addition, the only video display modes I can use is overlay and vmr7 (vmr9 refuses to function properly). I'm using version 97.9.
