I'm using V0.95.16 along with the XMLTV plugin for my epg source.
This has been working fine for weeks and updating daily via a scheduled event.
This week though, my EPG is no longer updating
after running the 'grab_xmltv' & 'update_epg' batch files I can see that the .xml file is now upto date and I've checked the 'programme' table of 'gbpvr.mdb' and this has successfully imported the most recent epg info. However, when you open gbpvr (either through MPV or directly on the PC), the guide doesn't show any programme info ...
My logs are attached ... any idea's what's going wrong?
I have relocated to another state and have my cable company set in my EPG Source. Do I need to delete all my scheduled recordings now that my channel line ups are different? How do I delete them if so easily and quickly. I want to get this cleared up as I am pretty sure my GBPVR is recording wrong timeslots and channels. Thanks for your help
Basically, the program won't launch. I know that I have all the .Net stuff installed, I've done it MULTIPLE times... But I still get this error when I try to open the program. Ever seen this? I'm on Win2k, fully updated, etc.
The Appearance Manager directory structure contains many empty directories. These directories are critical to the proper operation of AM. As noted in the AM tutoriaL, THESE DIRECTORIES SHOULD NOT BE DELETED.
From the very begining, the zip file structure that I have used to distribute AM files HAS DELETED EVERY ONE OF THESE DIRECTORIES.
The bottom line is that execpt for me, NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN THE APPEARANCE MANAGER SYSTEM WORK CORRECTLY AND COMPLETLY!
I have posted corrected distributions for the following skin effects:
After many frustrating hours trying to get some decent software to run with the freecom device under 32 bit windows i eventually gave up and used the freecom player and left it at that.
I've recently installed windows xp pro 64 bit, and immediately wondered if there are 64 bit drivers for the freecom stick. so i emailed them. within a couple of days they emailed me back with a beta 64bit BDA driver attached!
awesome, i thought, now i can use whatever software i want with this device (gb-pvr being one app i've had my eye on).
And indeed i can!
i had to add the following section to gb-pvr's BDA.INI:
and the config program complained (crashed) a few times when setting it up, but i kept hitting "Continue" instead of Quit, and it successfully completed a channel scan.
I'm just going to wait for the EPG to finish updating and I'll see if it works 100%.
If anyone wants the 64 bit BDA Freecom drivers, i suggest you email them yourselves. They'll send you the latest ones, and I suspect that they'll release them properly soon anyway.
Is anyone providing support for the XSuite at the moment as I have a couple of bugs that I keep getting. I did an install at work as we have MS Visual Studio 2005 and i've done a couple of minor bug fixes already but I'm stuck on this one. It is on the line:
dbReader = dbCommand.ExecuteReader();
and only happens sometimes on entering XGuide.
The exception is:
System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException was unhandled by user code

Is it just a matter of catching the exception and ignoring it or is it something more serious? I don't have any experience of SQLite as you may have already guessed!
On request I added two tuning parameters usefull for some Australian and Chinese channels and I allocated some more memory to live_tv processing to avoid a crash
From the changelog:
Changes in 0.79.46
- Added two ini file parameters, remove_before and remove_after, will remove the given amount of seconds of show before or after ALL commercials
- Increase amount of memory available during live_tv processing to prevent out_of_memory crash when processing very long recordings.
Changes in 0.79.45
- Bug solved: A TS file with MANY PID's causes Comskip to crash
- Improved algorithm to deal with LiveTV in BTV 4.3 (did not solve the problem....)
Changes in 0.79.44
- Added in the debugwindow the option to toggle blocks between commercial and show. Is available after processing an mpeg or a .csv file. Output files are rewritten after each toggle. The refference bar stays at the original detection results. Use the 'T' key to toggle
Changes in 0.79.43
- Changed output for ProjectX from mode 4 to mode 2 to solve ProjectX problem
- Added the PID info for VideoRedo processing of Transport Streams
Changes in 0.79.42
- When for a TS file a non existent PID is specified on the commandline a list of available video PID's will be shown in the log file.
Changes in 0.79.41
- It is again possible to select the video pid in a TS file with --pid=xx where xx is pid of the video stream, all input and reporting on pid's is done in hexadecimal format. The Audio pid will be autoselected
- Bug solved: When a video stream has two audio streams (such as stereo and 5.1) the audio decoding will fail with all kind of error messages.
Ever since 94.13, GBPVR has been unable to find any named channels - same settings used etc., but all I get are about 50 'unknown' channels where there used to be BBC 1, 2 etc.
I hoped the 97 series would resolves this but the same problem exists - any ideas how to solve this?
So far i have to install 94.13 and then upgrade - problem comes when I need to add a new channel - have to uninstall compeltely and then go back to 94.13.
