Hi, First post here... Been using GBPVR for a month or so and really impressed!!
Upgraded to 97.9 this week (had a few problems so ended up doing a clean install into an new folder)..
One problem, using Music Library (and ML2) when I select "Play All" it plays the track perfectly then stops, never plays the second track... (unless I hit the skip button on the remote)
Have looked in the logs, but cant spot anything obvious.. Probably something I have miss-set in config's would appreciate any help!
To start I have read and re-read and done everything in: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16157. And still having problems with fuzzy picture. Its not bad, but I can definatly tell the difference compared to my regular TV. This might be my TV making up for the signal with comb filtering I'm not sure. I have a Sony 27" Trinitron.
I was running a FX5600 Ultra with svideo and then because of that thread I decided to get a 6200. I put in the 6200 and have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers as well as Purevideo(what im using for decoder). I am still not seeing the "VMR Default' for deinterlacing options. All I see are like 'Best Available' 'Combine' and something else. When I was using the 5600Ultra I did see 'VMR Default' 'Pixel Adaptive' etc. Am I right in assuming that 'VMR Default' would de hardware, where 'Best Available','Combine' would be software? Does this mean that Purevideo is not picking up on the fact that this 6200 has hardware deinterlacing? The only reason I bought this card was for the hardware deinterlacing advantage. If anyone can either correct me if I'm wrong, tell me how to fix it, or give me some other advice on this I would appreciate it.
Now 2nd thing, would I be better off returning the 6200 and getting a Radeon 9550 instead? I read alot of different posts around some talk up Nvidia some talk up ATI. I know it is probably more personal preference, but there has to be some hard fact as to which works better for SDTV Svideo. Some recommendations would be great, even if they are just your opinion.
I've installed (from scratch) GB-PVR v0.97.9 and ExternalRecorder plug-in v1.0. I've followed the install instructions for ExternalRecorder, but when I try to add a new capture source it doesn't appear in my recording sources list. I only have the options:
G07... Recording Plugin
BDA Recording Plugin
Direct Recording Plugin
I had the previous GB-PVR version installed with v0.8 ExternalRecorder and that worked fine.
I know, that are 2 or 3 VoIP, or similar plugins, are outside available for GB-PVR.
But, if i am correct, they're all missing one feature:
Telephony over NORMAL connection.
Yesterday i bought an AVM Fritz!Card USB 2.0 Controller for my DSS-1 ISDN at home. Connected to the PC and enjoyed the using of Fax Services and Telephony.
But..., that thing i'll ask now:
Is it possible to extend the available plugins with the support of "normal" Modems/ISDN Adapters?
Combined with a wireless Headset and a remote, this were the perfect way for communication ^^
Hi, I just bought a new lcd tv that can also be used as a pc monitor as well. It is HD-ready, and all I would need to recieve free over the air HD signals is a HD tuner/reciever. My question is, I have 1 regualr computer monitor and now this new lcd/tv/pc all hooked up together, so to save money can I use the HD ATI Wonder card as a replacemnt instead of getting a HD tuner/reciever? Is the ATI Wonder product compatiable with my new lcd tv/pc monitor I just got? There is already a NTSC tv tuner built into my lcd tv/pc monitor, so would the ATI WONDER then be used to recieve HD signals for it? Thanks a lot!
The hauppauge software loads fine on my unit.
I tested the gbpvr and it loaded a couple of times without a problem.
Now whenever I try and load it seems to be having the same problem as with the 97.07 version.
It seems to start loading then kills the connection and restarts with locating server...

if set to true in config.xml, this would result in a second chance recording if the filesize of the mpeg is unusually small.
But with my external recording source there hasn't been a request to restart the recording again after a failure, e.g if no stream was received.
So, my Questions are:
- Is this option in principle designed to work with external recording sources, or will I have to implement some logic by myself?
- Is it okay to set the status to RecordingStatus.RECORDING_FAILED if no stream is being recieved, or will this prevent the second chance recording from kick in?
- After which amount of time will the filesize be checked?
- Anything else that I might be doing wrong?
I ran GBPVR and the plugins did not appear on the main menu. I went into config and before it entered it gave me a long string of errors relating to the provider not being specified in the connection string and it cannot load the plugin list. (I can click it off and continue into config)
The plugin page is then blank. If I remove the guide2J.dll from the plugins, I do not get this error, and x-search / record show up both in the config & on main menu.
If I attempt to click on either, it returns an error roughly the same as above with a db provider error. (same happens with guide2j.dll back in the plugins before loading GB again)
I am using version 97.9, dbase is changed to SQLlite, blue skin.
Has anyone else had this error, and anyone know how to fix?
This might just be me missing something obvious, but as I have been avoiding all plugins recently, I have been using the standard Music Library, and although music will stop when you press the "pause" key, I can't seem to get it to restart from the same place - pushing "pause" again does nothing, and "play" starts playing the selected song from the beginning. Any suggestions? (I've been listening to some longer classical passages recently, and it's a pain restarting them when I only intended to pause it to answer the phone etc).
