I downloaded gbpvr last night as a replacement for MCE. I was playing around with it last night and couldn't find an option for "First showing" in the recording options. Is it possbile to just record the first run of a show. All I could find was record once, record all in this time slot, record all on this channel. I think that was all I saw. Thanks for your help.
BlueMCE2 and Contour skins shows the current time in a wrong position in the TV Guide pop pu window. It overwrites the lower lines of the description of the show. Same problem with all the pop up windows for recordings (Ready, new, pending etc.)
Blue skin shows the pop up windows correct.
I upgraded GB-PVR to v0.97.9 and BlueMCE2 to v1.7.2 the same night, so I don't know which one of the upgrades caused the problem. Before I upgraded, blueMCE2 looked correct.
I have been using GBPVR for a bit, as well as some of the other programs. I have finally decided to stick with GBPVR for several reasons, the most important it works (Never got BeyondTV working right)! Other reasons include speed of accessing channels (Media Portal, Got all Media are painful). Setup is the best of all the free programs(Media Portal is horrible setting up the EPG but it does automatically grap the HDTV which is nice). I do wish that there was some sort of transparent EPG as in the other programs when watching TV (Nice to be able to see several channels at once instead of only one)
Anyhow my three questions I have found a tough time finding answers to using search.
Is there some problem timeshifting HDTV (ATSC)? I currently have the DVICO Fusion5 RT Lite (Also tried out KWORLD ATSC 110 with no luck) installed with the latest drivers and GBPVR 97.9 and Cyberlink mux and decoder. I can record fine I just get an error when trying to timeshift.
Is there any way to setup the HDTV channels for channel 1021? This is convenient because then I can type in 1021 for channel 2.1 and keep everything in order. When I try this GBPVR only allows me to type in 3 numbers then quits, e.g 102.
Is there any way to not have the right click on a mouse exit immediatly from TV/Recordings/DVD. I ask this because I use my mouse as the primary control and every now and then the dogs come up to me and hit the blasted right mouse button and I have to start a movie over and find the spot I left off. I suppose I could use WinLirc, but I am curious about this.
I am currently using a powercolor theater 550 card. GBPVR works fine with it.
I noticed that the documentation of the theater 550 has 'closed captioning support' listed. But It seems GB-PVR does not support CC for 550. I am wondering whether the missing CC functionality for 550 is because of the lack of documentation of the card, or because it is mission impossible for the card.
PS. For many channels, the programs have a flash line on top of the video. It is same when recoding using other software (cyberlink) too. But for live TV, It seems that cyberlink uses some tricks to make it invisible (by not showing the top line?). Remove the line when recording may be impossible, but is it possible to include such a small trick in GBPVR to hide the line when playing the video/liveTV? Sometimes the line is annoying.
Another small question, when using GBPVR for recording with best quality, It is about 2.7G per hour program. But when using Cyberlink PowerCinema, it is ~3.7G per hour program for best quality, is there any difference?
I am using Comclean2 because of the issues I had streaming files that had been processed with Comclean1. In order to stream I came to the conclusion that I need a perfect time line and decided to use Comclean2. The comclean2.bat files runs comskip fine and works fine until it launches Cuttermaran, actually it starts Cuttermaran fine, and the problem is that Cuttermaran does not put .m2v file extension on “name” _clean file that it processes. I have modified my comclean2.bat file to rename “name”_clean to name_clean.m2v.
If exist “%dpn1_clean” move “%dpn1_clean” “%dpn1_clean.m2v”
I am not sure if their was something that I could adjust in Cuttermaran settings, but this does work me. Perhaps Erik could shed some light on the issue.
How do fix the problem of TV video stutter when the guide is on screen? I have replaced the Quartz.dll file with the 9.0b version. I have also tried different settings in the video decoder settings (VMR7 VMR9 Overlay).
I couldn't work out why my Mpeg2 playback CPU usage was so high lately, and stuttery as a result - and why building graphs suddenly takes forever in the new GB versions (~16secs?). Looking at the logs, it turns out playback graphs are built with multiple audio/video decoders and video renderers!
I have Dscaler5, Nvidia PureVideo (demo) and Cyberlink mpeg2 filters installed, with the NVidia's set in GBPVR. Here's a log playing back a PVR150 recording:

Why are the Dscaler filters in there? I then tried uninstalling them - it halved my CPU usage, but graphs still take as long to build and now it includes the Cyberlink filters instead:
I am using an ATI TV Wonder PRO (PCI) with the WDM Recorder plugin. I got my live TV to working fine, timeshifting doesn't work (I'm not that worried about it really) but my recordings fail. Logs attached.
BTW.... I have tried restarting the pc, and stopping and restarting the GB-PVR recording service. And the status of the recorder when I right click on the GB-PVR icon is always "sleeping". I am guessing that it is normal unless it is recording, correct?
