I have been using GBPVR for a month now and I like it a lot. First I used v0.96.12 with two Twinhan DTV TV cards but had some problems with the TV picture. Then I installed v0.97.7 but there was no change. I then decided to try with another TV card (Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT) but now all I get is "No channels found. Please check your signal and configuration settings."
The signal strength is very good so thats not the problem.
When using Mediaportal the channels can be found. But I prefer using GBPVR.
Does anyone have any ideas what to do about it?
Edit: I have now tried with a fresh install of both v0.96.12 and v0.97.7 and I still can't find any channels. So it has nothing to do with the new version. The TV card is shown under "Device type" as "TerraTec Cinergy 2400i DT #1 DVB-T" if I click "Only show devices detected in this machine". I have also tried the latest drivers from Terratecs homepage.
Hi all, okay I've not used a TV out card with GBPVR so am a bit lost as to how it actually fits together, anyone care to help me out here?
Note I am not asking about the PVr350 (which I use at the moment) but normal video graphics cards
1. Any of them do MPEG2 decoding? ATI I get confused if they do or don't.
2. If not is the CPU usage quite high while playing back
3. Do they come with their own MPEG2 decoding software, or do you have to install some other software?
4. Is the TV out seperate from the desktop/monitor output, e.g. can I continue working on the desktop while playing on the TV output? Or are they linked, I see the desktop on the TV
I'd like to be able to record FM Radio with GB-PVR.
I've been having some problems with my recent versions and FM Radio, which I seem to have sorted. However during my problems I found that I was hearing the FM Radio sound while going through the TV Channels. I didn't check, but I'm guessing I could have recorded it too.
If I can do this, does this mean that Sub or someone on this forum should be able to enable FM Radio recording with GB-PVR?
I've just about got GB-PVR v.97.7 running on my PC and decided to branch out to my MVP (no Hauppauge MVP software running).
I can get the interface on my TV okay, but can't get Live TV, .mpg2 files or FM Radio, or MP3 files to play.
Live TV and FM Radio say that I don't have the tuner installed. MPEG2 and MP3 files just sit there. All work fine on my PC.
Obviously I have not set up the config correctly for MVP, but can't seem to get a clear indication of exactly what I have to do to get it running. I'm watching on a 16x9 widescreen TV.
Can anyone point me at a thread or file that goes through the correct setup sequence. I did find one that suggested I change the Microsoft BDA Multiplexer from to something else (I chose Cyberlink), but that didn't help.
I have a 150 mce card and have bought a MCE remote separately.
I currently have Hip installed and this works fine. my question is in the config it shows support for the MCE remote, there also seems to be support for the MCE ir blaster how do I get them to work without using HIP?

On 96.12 and 97.7 I've tried the gbmvp.bin dongle for the MVP. After booting up I've tried scrolling through the menus and the left hand half of the task enties moves (changes to the next one) while the right hand 3 - 4 letters doesn't move.
Hard to explain. Can that be followed??
So I've reverted back to the dongle.bin each time.
I have a question. Tonight, after missing the last 20 minutes of 24, I was pissed. When I checked my recordings to play 24. I found the 1 hour recording with the 2 minute overlap like normal. However, since 24 was pre-empted by a presidential address being 20 minutes long, i missed the end of the show. In my recording folder for this show, there was another 20 minute recording of 24 that had failed. There was no option to play, so i deleted it. I checked the program guide and it showed 24 with the 1 hour segment as normal and it showed the 20 minute long overlap as well as another listing. My question is why did the 20 minute overlap recording fail? It obviously tried to record it, but could not. Did the 2 minute overlap interfere with this? The settings for recording were: all season this time slot on a weekly basis. Does anyone have any information for me so that I can avoid this happening again?
Thanks.
Zap2It has announced they will be discontinuing their service on 9/1/07.
This utility (I-xmltv) was designed for Zap2It EPG data as downloaded by XMLTV and will stop functioning on or before that date.
Problems arising between now and the shutdown date are to be expected, are not related to I-xmltv, and will not be supported in this thread.
It was great while it lasted, if a solution appears that will allow I-xmltv to function again I’ll post it here.
Update 8/13/07:
I've posted I-xmltv (build 8-13-07) that has "developer examples" in the link below.
Intended for epg grabber developers that want to output I-xmltv compatable xml files. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=27774

It’s always a good idea to backup your original database and config.xml before changing anything, but this stand-alone DOS utility just enhances the "EPG file" that GBPVR imports. I don’t expect any big issues. Note: This topic is getting very long, if you have any Zap2It download problems please read this post. There is also a picture showing how gbpvr is configured to use "TVGuide.xml" in this thread.
Version 1.3 on the wiki has the single download feature enabled by default.
Thanks!
Start:
I’ve noticed a few reoccurring requests for adding TV Guide features in GBPVR.
Episode number with the subtitle, for RenameRecording. Rerun and premiere information…. Original air date, movie ratings,, on and on…
I tried to include about everything I could think of with this utility, and then some.
Optional incremental download manager that works with xmltv to keep your Zap2It “English language” listings up to date. While at the same time, using the least possible bandwidth from the Zap2It server. In the end, this utility will give you a single file that you can share between computers, and other programs like standalone program guides.
Instead of typing another 2,000 words, I’ve attached a couple of screen captures in the next few posts.
I tried to make the directions and configuration as simple as possible.
The images shown are using the default configuration and switch options.
The only change you need to make is to replace my time zone setting with one that is correct for your part of the country.
Have fun!
When upgrading to the latest version:
Extract the zip to your “C:\”: drive overwriting the original “C:\I-xmltv” folder.
Edit the included UpdateEPG.bat choosing the number of “DaysOfEPG=” you prefer, and change “/tn/-6” to your actual time-zone. (-6 = central time).
The final step is to move UpdateEPG.bat to your GBPVR folder.
I-xmltv v1.3c (build 11/26/06) is available on the wiki, under the name TVGuide Supercharger!
From the change log.
Code:
I-xmltv v1.3c (build 11/26/06)
Added switch: "/sd/()" Adds (Original-Air-Date) to the end of the subtitle.
Added switch: "/ds/()" Adds (Original-Air-Date) to the beginning of the subtitle, after the episode / production number.
Option Added: "SET NumberOfLineups=1" The multi-lineup-addon is no longer needed. Simply enter the number of lineups you have in UpdateEPG.bat.
Updated: "UpdateEPG.bat" for easier xmltv setup and enhanced error correction.
Bug fix: A bug was introduced in v1.3b that could cause incremental day.xml files to be downloaded twice. If incremental mode was enabled using "Set Incremental=1"
Hi I have comskip set to run after recordings and for some reason right now as I am recording something my CPU is up to 100% and there are two comskip.exe programs running in my task manager one taking up 12 % and the other one is taking up the rest. Is this normal????
I haven't been able to download the new version yet becuase the main gbpvr.com web site seems to be down. Is anyone else having that problem? Is there an alternative download location?
