getting late at night here and just wondered if you'd wanna give us all a hint as to what may/may not be included in the next release? I know you've been busy with your own release but just wondered what you had planned for the next release? I know you like to keep some things bit of a suprise too! Any chance of DVB radio fully working (Yes I know it kinda works already and I've asked about it before!)
Hi,
Im having trouble getting the pc to wake from standby when I schedule a manual recording (I dont use the EPG for now, problems there as well!). It runs ok when the pc is on, but if I put it into standby nothing happens. It works ok when I use WinTV2000 which puts a task into the windows scheduler.
Am I missing a setting somewhere, or does it not work for manual recordings as I see from the wiki that it works for EPG scheduled recordings.
The setup is: PVR-350, Windows XP SP2, AMD XP1800+, 1Gb RAM, MSI-6340 MB.
No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the "Update EPG" button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.
but i've set up the channel stuff already and updated the EPG. i have like 30 channels listed for my antenna. there's an "enabled" checkbox which i can check, but it's never checked when i return to that page. please help! i also didn't see any log files in the program files directory, so i don't even know where to start poking around.
thanks for any help. i saw someone else had this problem, but didn't see a resolution....
I have the latest version of GBPVR using XMLTV for listings, but my PC can never wakeup from standby to update the listings (it certainly never runs updateegg.bat). It does, however, wakeup perfectly for all of the scheduled recordings?
I've been running a pair of these for a few weeks.. GB-PVR recognises and uses both, but I seem to be getting an awful lot of 0KB recordings, particularly when GB-PVR chooses the stick designated #1.
Are there any known issues with running two of these USB tuners - like driver problems/config issues etc? As I said, it seems to work most of the time, but something about it feels a little flakey - it's got me wondering if it _should_ be working at all.
Changes in 0.79.36
- Added ini parameter, setting output_dvrcut=1 will enable the generation of the bat file that can run the commandline dvr-ms cutter to generate a clean dvr-ms file. You need dvrcut.zip for this
Changes in 0.79.35
- Bug solved: Commercial frame numbers found on dvr-ms files with logo where completely wrong.
- Bug solved: There is a difference in results when processing an mpeg or the corresponding .csv
Changes in 0.79.34
- Added the proposed cutlistformat for TVersity, enable with output_edlx=1. Warning: This output only is available correctly when scanning the video file, not when editing the cutpoints or processing the .csv file.
- Added ini parameter sage_framenumber_bug=1 to halve the .txt file frame numbers when 720p/60fps content is detected.
- Changed logic when enabling both SILENCE and other detection methods to become more robust against input variations over broadcasting styles.
- Warning: Some changes did have the risk of slightly less quality in detection. Notify me when you detect this.
great right out of the box setup in the USA. two thing i would like to know though.
mce remote control launch of the app and stealing foucs back to the program after i get typing this little thing. great option you have for the default display 2 full screen option that just about bit me on the mouse curosr when the options first launched.
Fantastic software really impressed. Is there any skin or will there be a skin that looks good on a widescreen.
I am using a 9400 laptop with a 17 inch screen at a resolution of 1920x1200 and I have tried a few skins and they all look blury some worst than others.
What would be the best skin to use and will there be a new skin out that fully supports a widescreen display
Is anyone working on a torrent plug-in? I've seen mention of it on a wishlist, and I was wondering if anyone has made any progress or come up with any ideas?
What I'm envisioning is something like "Search Guide" that would instead use 1 or more RSS feeds to populate the data. You could then highlight the torrent to download it (on low priority) and when it finished downloading, it would appear in the "Video Library" area. One possible problem is that sometimes torrents aren't in a great format for immediate viewing (might be a bin/cue VCD or something).
If no one is working on this, I would be happy to give it a shot. I've never worked on GB-PVR plugins before, but I am a professional developer by trade, and I think a project like this is fairly reasonable for 1 guy to pull off.
Additionally, has anyone looked into possible 3rd party apps that function well when launched from GB-PVR and can do something like what I described above without having to plug in a keyboard and mouse? I haven't come across a torrent client that is "PVR" friendly yet.
