No guide info after 5.4 upgrade
Posted by: LeGrandZombie - 2020-04-29, 02:32 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (3)

Just upgraded to 5.4. Everything appeared to be successful except that the guide was empty. I updated the guide which appeared to get info from Schedules Direct but the guide is still empty.

  v5: black pages in webinterface?
Posted by: V_J - 2020-04-29, 11:39 AM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (2)

Hello,

I've installed NPVR v5 and while it worked for a while, now the pages are just black. I have the top menu and the left menu when I click settings, but most of the content is just empty. It also does not show me the available storage graph.

I can partly solve it by going to settings, logging out and reloading the page which gives me a login dialog: then the available storage graph appears as well as the list of channels. But none of the entries in Settings (selected from the left menu) show any content...

(browser is latest Firefox on Windows 10; server is running on that same computer)

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Jorg

Sad Recordings Are Always Size Zero
Posted by: hjjr78 - 2020-04-29, 03:54 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (22)

Recording was working fine for me at first and I made no changes.  For some unknown reason, all my recordings create a file that is size zero now, which can not open because...well...there's literally no data at size zero.

Live Tv works fine.... Well, when I first run live TV, the current channel never shows....just stays black but when I bring up the channels menu and change the channel, live TV starts showing perfectly, all channels.  Why live TV does show the default channel before channel change is beyond me.

It seems like NextPvR has some major issues under the hood.

Of course, I just want to get my recordings back actually recording some data.    Sad

PS, I tried to upload the NRecord log but got a file not allowed message.

EPG not updating (DVB ATSC EPG)
Posted by: Flyndr - 2020-04-29, 12:31 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I have been using DVB ATSC EPG to daily refresh a week of EPG and has been working fine. Now it stops at Saturday (Rather than next Wednesday 1 week ahead).
I did manual update from settings with no effect. Then emptied EPG and then updated. Now I have completely empty program giude, even for today.
When I update it flashes "checking DVB ATSC listings" then "Updating EPG for 2 seconds each. Clearly not going to tuner to interrogate the listings.
The tuners show up on devices ok. (Live tv works ok)
NPVR 4.2.4 (190307) win 10
Does anybody know how to fix this?

  Update Issue
Posted by: zed - 2020-04-28, 10:07 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (3)

I'm trying to update from 5.0.3.200415 to 5.0.4.200428 but it's telling me I already have the most recent version (I think):

mark@RaspiPVR:~$ sudo curl https://nextpvr.com/nextpvr-helper.deb -O
% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed  Time    Time    Time  Current
Dload  Upload  Total  Spent    Left  Speed
100  5832  100  5832    0    0  24711      0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 24711
mark@RaspiPVR:~$ sudo apt install ./nextpvr-helper.deb --install-recommends
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Note, selecting 'nextpvr-helper' instead of './nextpvr-helper.deb'
nextpvr-helper is already the newest version (1.4).         <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  linux-raspi2-headers-5.3.0-1014 linux-raspi2-headers-5.3.0-1018
  linux-raspi2-headers-5.3.0-1019
Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove them.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 38 not upgraded.

This method has worked in the past. What am I doing wrong here?

Is this not the correct upgrade procedure?

Running on Ubuntu 19.10 server on a Raspberry Pi 4.

Thanks...

  XC Api
Posted by: Tunes0710 - 2020-04-28, 12:41 PM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (8)

Hiya,
Is there any plan to implement XC API access?
Many IPTV providers are not issuing M3U's anymore, and whilst it's possible to ascertain the M3U URL from the XC login details, panels are starting to monitor for this and block accounts if they see people are connected via M3U instead of XC (as they are expecting people to use the apps like tivimate/smarters/xciptv/etc).

If there is some way it can be included, I think it would help be an even more popular choice, as more and more providers lock down.
