installed the program but no dice
Posted by: mattyboy - 2006-03-30, 06:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

As soon as it was finished installing, I guess the config.exe launches right away, but it gave me a "config.exe" has to exit error message.
Does the same when I tried to run it manually too.
Im using winXP x64 with 550 theatrix pro (sapphire)

Nforce4 x16 board (MSI DIAMOND PLUS)

  mini-walkthrough style
Posted by: zehd - 2006-03-30, 06:03 AM - Forum: Forum Issues & Documentation - Replies (11)

I developed a VB program that takes jpgs and adds them to a small html/javascript. It has a forward and back, that allows for a viewer to shuttle through a sequence for a walkthough.

Currently I'm hosting a few of these walkthroughs for the wiki from my personal webspace. I'm not currently worried about bandwidth. Maybe when my provider sees my one millionth hit I'll worry.

How do you like the style?

  Plugin question
Posted by: nitrogen_widget - 2006-03-30, 04:16 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

Is there a plug-in that lets you view the full recordings info on other GBPVR machines?

I currently have 2 gbpvr systems set-up.
One as a server & a 2nd as a client sharing the server database.

This is fine & all, but I loose the ability to record from my tivo on the client machine. I really just want to be able to remotely view my recorded tv shows, It's episode info & the date it was recorded, watch it, then delete it when i'm done.
The video library plugin would work except It doesn't list the date of recording or other EPG data.

I've looked but couldn't find a plug-in that does this.

Yes, I could use my MVP except I have a lot of movies in xvid format & I never could get that to work perfectly on an MVP.

I also would like to run emulators on this PC so an MVP is out for that TV.

  Web interface won't open
Posted by: assbeard - 2006-03-30, 03:25 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (33)

Hi all. I'm trying to get my web interface working but all i'm getting when I open it up is "page cannot be displayed". I can't find any configuration steps that I might be missing in the wiki, and I've got in enabled in the gbpvr config program. Is there anything special i need to do after installing GBPVR to get it working?

Thanks

If I run my Set Top Box through the PVR 500 and watch an HD channel, will the HD resolution be tranferred to the tv ( using DVI-D )?

Need "New Icon Flat Blue" Revision for Music Library 2 v3.3
Posted by: TuckerTFT - 2006-03-30, 02:32 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

The v3.3 Music Library 2 faults immediately upon load when used within "New Icon Flat Blue".

My workaround for now was rename the MusicLibrary2 skin subfolder and copy the subfolder from the standard "Blue" skin into "New Icon Flat Blue".

However, I can't read a thing on m y 27" TV when using ML2 from my MVP.

Do you have any plans on updating the skin file set for this app?

Thanks.

Music Plugins malfunction with MediaMVP Server auto started
Posted by: TuckerTFT - 2006-03-30, 02:22 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I'm using GB-PVR v96.12.

I have discovered that none of my installed music plugins (including the native "Music Library") work correctly when the MediaMVP Server is started "automatically" by the recording service (by setting "number of servers to autostart" on the MVP tab to "1", as you, sub, recommend).

The anomalies experienced are as follow:

(1) "Music Library" and "My Music" ==> The categories that I've defined show up in the list, but when I hit the "select" key on the remote when one is highlighted I see an empty list ( except for the [..] ) in "Music Library" and absolutely nothing happens in "My Music".

(2) "Music Library 2" (a really feature rich plugin) ==> (a) YELLOW remote key - will only add single tracks to the list (i.e., stuff from the bottom right list). It has no effect when pressed when something is highlighted from the title list (top right) or left side list. (b) RED remote key - A random list is not generated at all on the MVP ... i.e., nothing happens, period.

NOTE: ALL of the above is fixed if I set "number of servers to autostart" to "0" and start the MediaMVP Server manually. However, doing this brings me back to other problems that I reported in this thread.

Any advise ... can you replicate this problem with the default "Music Library" in your environment?

Making GBPVR Web App Accessable Over Internet
Posted by: lonegeek - 2006-03-30, 01:47 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I had this working once. I've switched to DSL and had problems with modem because it has NAT as does my router. But i think i have that sorted out...

I have port 7647 open in router. And all ports open for the LAN(or whatever the router is getting) on the modem... I use an internet app that says if ports are open and it says that port is open.

EDITED OUT LINK!! Working Now....

  Music Library 2 Issues
Posted by: TuckerTFT - 2006-03-30, 01:35 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (8)

Just installed and configured Music Library 2 ... what a really cool plugin :o

OK ... so now I have some issues that maybe someone can help me with:
(NOTE: All of these issues were noted running ML2 from GB-PVR running on the PC .. I haven't checked out MVP operation yet.

(1) In the wiki is stated: >>A random playlist can be generated by pressing the Red Button (Ctrl-R). On the left hand screen it will choose from all tracks from the collection.<< ... I don't find this to be the case. Rather I find that if I highlight something on the left and press CTRL+R I get selections added to the playlist from ALL things that appear on the left side of the screen (so, as an example, if I'm looking at the list by GENRE and the left screen includes Blues, Rock and Jazz as genres, when I highlight BLUES and press CTRL+R the random play list generated is from all 3 genres, not just blues). What am I doing wrong.

(2) I have my Random time set to 300 minutes. The first couple of times that I pressed CTRL+R it did, in fact generate a length playlist that enumerates to 5 hours of play time. But subsequent to that it changed to creating only a 1 hour play list, but I hadn't changed anything.

(3) Is there any way to "shuffle" a play list once it is created from adding selections to the queue, or loaded from a saved playlist? If this feature existed this plugin would be SUPREME over all others.

Unbelievably terrific work !!!!!!

  Default Quality Settings

I keep setting the default quality settings to high but they reset themselves to Medium. Why is that?
