I'm trying to write a plugin that displays the next 2 scheduled recordings on my HTPC's VFD screen, and when one or more of them is running display the percentage completed of the recording[s].
So far I have a small Delphi app which does this by directly reading the gbpvr.mdb, but I'd prefer to do it via a plugin. This app also watches the gbpvr.mdb file and when it changes it refreshes the display.
(it uses events posted to Girder to actually set the VFD via a Girder plugin)
So in essence I need two things.
1. How to get the list of current Scheduled Recordings,
2. What event to listen for so I know the list has changed.
In GBPVRPublic.dll I can see a ScheduledRecording class but can't see how to get the list of them. The IScheduleHelper has a method GetListingsForTimePeriod which returns a IList. What does the IList contain ?
Is this the interface I need, if so which class implements this interface.
Additionally, I wrote a simple plugin to implement IEventNotification to see what events get generated, but I never get any events to tell me the list of scheduled recordings has changed.
I have upgraded to the new version i notice the new SYSTEM plugin, is there any reason why i have 2 "GB PVR" versions?
I thought this was as this system has 2 MVP units but the same thing has happened on a new build of a laptop. No MVP there just one install with the one desktop client running, same thing
Perhaps this feature already exists, but I've not found it anywhere.
I'd like the ability to log the episode names of the programs I record to prevent gbpvr from recording episodes I've already seen. I know you can prevent it from recording duplicates of already recorded shows; but that only works if you keep the old recording.
im not sure if this is just my system, or if its gbpvr, but the osd seems fixed at 720x480, im trying to alter the osd skin.xml file to a larger size but everything beyond 720x480 just gets chopped off.
is this a hardcoded size in gbpvr? or is it a value i can change in a skin somewhere? or is it just my system?
Hi,
First time post here, after an excellent reference from a friend I have been trying out GB-PVR on a newly installed Hauppauge PVR-150 and love the setup - great design thankyou!! I have however met with 2 problems and haven't spotted a direct reference to this on the forums yet.
Whilst on live TV, I keep getting the same message coming up:
'Found IR controller (e2)'. This would not be a problem except for the fact it kicks GB to a non-active window so it then stops responding to future use of the remote until I close the message box.
So, what is not clear is whether this is a problem with the Hauppauge IR blaster software or an issue between this and GB....any suggestions? Using the latest IR blaster driver.
Also, more of a general question to all of you with far more expertise in this area! I have a motorola DCT 2500 dig cable box and I'm having a tough time getting my IR blaster to communicate with this - has anyone else had any luck with this? If so, please let me know how you got it to work!
Thanks again, really hoping I can work around this as GBPVR is the nicest looking software package I've come across in a while! Cheers, Dekk.
I used to have the sleep mode working but one of the Windows Xp patches stoped it from working, Now when I hit sleep the system stays on and all the fans and power supply stay on, Anyone know? or maby software I can get that will sleep my system again?? Thanks
Just like the topic says.. net radio, windows plays very strong and loud.. but the volume coming from watching TV is much softer.
I am using a PVR500 on a Via Epia SP13000, using onboard audio.
They both use the "wave" mixer so I cant even them out.. i would rather be able to boost the TV volume because i have to turn it up alot higher right now than I would like to (read: hiiiiiiisssssssssssssssss).
I'm not exactly sure what the verbage is but I will do my best to describe the problem. I have a pvr-150 and it works great with wintv2k. When in GBPVR i notice that any OSD (volume, guide) causes the video to slow down and skip. I was told by someone that it was my computer but Wintv2k has no problem displaying the on screen volume control. Its almost like the MPEG2 decoding isn't working right. I have a ATI Radeon 7500 and according to ATI the video card has a built in MPEG2 decoder onchip.
I also noticed something else that is different between wintv and GBPVR. I use a remote administration program called Remote Administrator (http://www.radmin.com). When I connect to my GBPVR machine from my other computer when using GBPVR I am able to view the video that is currently on the screen. It looks very bad (due to the fact that it is scaled down to increase response time) but I can deffinately make out the picture. My understanding of MPEG2 is that It should only be able to be viewed on the computer (not through a remote viewer). When viewing wintv2k through remote admininstrator I just get a black window where the video should be. The same is true when viewing mpeg or divx movies over remote administrator.
This also reinforced my theory that my MPEG2 decoder isn't working right. Its like it converting it to some other type of video first. What is so different between wintv2k and GBPVR?
