So close to working. Please help.
Posted by: Nocontact - 2006-03-19, 09:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (37)

I just installed my PVR-150. After trying WINTV I couldn't get it to recognize or scan for any channels. I found out about GBPVR and installed it and it scanned and recognized all the channels! Big Grin
But now for some reason when I try to watch live TV I'm getting nothing but a black screen.
It's hooked directly into the cable (RF) and I know that works so I'm wondering if I'm missing something or doing something wrong.
I'd really appreciate the help because GBPVR looks very cool.
Thanks.

  Dual PVR150 Tuner help needed
Posted by: A_Brass - 2006-03-19, 08:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Ok I finally moved my second tuner (A PVR150Retail) to my primary PVR box. This where my trouble have begun. At first everthing look good. I ran WinTV and opened GBPVR and I saw and heard two different channels. So I proceeded to add a second capture device in GBPVR. So far so good. Next I went to Live TV. Again so far so good. But when I tried to record and watch I get no audio on the recording. Then things went downhill.

I tried a few different things. I checked to make sure I had my device settings as 1 and 2. That was correct, then I tried to watch TV and start a recording, No audio, next start a recording and watch Live TV. When I went back to the Recroding no audio. At some point the video went away. All I got was a nice pink or white screen. No audio no video. I tried WinTV again and I was getting the same thing. So I assumed the problem was corrupt drivers. I cleared out the drivers and reloaded as described on Hauppagues site. At first I had Audio on my live TV and none on the recroding then it got worse again. The Picture is gone replaced with black, pink or white. I tried moving the 150Retail into a different PCI slot and I get the same results.

Currently the lack of picture is on the 150retail. The 150retail came out of working PC and has had no problems since I started using it (about a year ago).

Anyone have any ideas what's going on? Help is greatly appriciated.

  skip behaviour in TV guide
Posted by: cakes - 2006-03-19, 08:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi,

The default skip ( >|) behaviour in TV guide is to go to the same slot of hours of the next day. But if you have some music playing, it skips forward in the playlist instead, which is a bit anoying. There are some other examples of this kind of behaviour where a button on the remote performs the function of the music plugin, instead of the function that button has in the active plugin on the screen.

Is there a way to change this in some way?

  Zap2it overlapping programs
Posted by: roy - 2006-03-19, 08:05 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I seem to be getting more and more overlapping program listings in the guide, ie: the same channel will have a program listing for 8:30 - 10:00, and another program listing for 9:00 - 11:00. I'm seeing it often right now on PBS stations, but have seen it on various other channels.

I do daily complete EPG reload of 7 days (had problems with missing days without complete reload). It seems that changed listings are not getting purged or updated correctly. I looked at the current Zap2it online listings and see that my guide has the correct listings but also has additional incorrect listings.

On my laptop, for which I only get EPG data when testing, I don't see the problem.

Let me know if you would like more info or data.

  Error in System menu
Posted by: Paul Gordash - 2006-03-19, 07:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Version 0.96.12

When I select SYSTEM from the main menu, I sometimes get a dialog with:

title -> Setup Error
Failed to load from resource file.
Please check your setp.

I searched the forums and found that this was happening with the DVB guide. It was chalked up to a stack overflow. Someome also was having the same problem in the release thread as well.

Here are the last entries in he log file:

  Twinhan DVB-T CI-TER - Scrambled channels
Posted by: SweMart - 2006-03-19, 07:31 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi,

I'm trying to get my Twinhan DVB-T CI-TER card working with scrambled channels. I've got the freeview channels working ok, and the scrambled channels work with the DTV driver in the Twinhan player.

I've seen some old posts that seem to hint that CI/CAM was supported in 0.91 releases. Are there any plans to support CI support again or is there anywhere where you can download the old version?

I'm using the SCM red label Viaccess card with a swedish Boxer subscription.

(I have it working in MythTV with a very experimental patch to the dst_ca kernel module, but it's very unstable and it crashes quite frequently - I would prefer a Windows solution)

Regards,
Martin

  MVP reboot with XDVD
Posted by: sylv - 2006-03-19, 07:29 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi,

I am wondering if someone would have a clue of what is happening. The MVP repoots after a few seconds (from 30 to 60 sec) of playback with XDVD. The MVP seems to loose the connection and show the Hauppage MVP startup screen.

When I look in the various log files, I find the following in the gbpvr.exe-1.log:

I have tried several things and I have been surfing this forum without finding any input on this.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Sylv

  1 specific issue
Posted by: egold - 2006-03-19, 07:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

First off gbpvr is working great with my 550pro and cyber link remote. Im using the nvidia pure decoder and since has installed cyberlink power dvd 5 the bsic version since thats what i have. My only issue is usisng gbpvr's dvd player everytime I rrw ffw or skip a chapter I loose the audio.

I've tried every combination of codec's with the realteck ac97 cyber link and nvidia. no luck. The remote works with the default dvd navigator than chaging it to cyberlink where it doesnt work at all.

Anyway has anyone run into this and is there a way to fix it or is this the way it is.

The support has been outstanding here thank you very much

thanks

  Seperate Aspect Ratios
Posted by: Paul Gordash - 2006-03-19, 07:20 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

I love the new feature of 0.96.12 of saving the aspect ratio. There is one little problem, all my recordings are 4:3, but all my video library files are 16:9. It would be real cool if you could save seperate aspect ratios for the two different types.

Thanks,
Paul

Paul
