Hope someone can help me with this one, while im viewing live tv the pic will suddenly throw a glitch ie pause for a fraction of a second and then i get a picture thats out of sync with the sound, my pc is a medion p4 dual pentium with 1gb of ram so it shouldnt cause a problem pc wise. when i use powercinema i dont get this problem but i prefer gbpvr as it gives a marginally better overall picture, can anyone suggest a configuration that will overcome this problem?
When I record multiple shows the first one records fine, but the other shows only show the first minute or so. When i look in the containing file all the files for the whole show are present but there are like 15-25 files. The whole show is there but just split up alot. Every night there is a log error but i dont knwo about that or if it has anythign to do with it. Does anyone have any ideas?
I have been fooling around with GBPVR/PVR-150 setup for about three weeks and cannot get any playback consistency with my recordings. This not a picture quality issue. My best efforts will only play in WMP, and when forwarding, reversing or pausing the file requires about a 25 second delay before it will continue playing. Video quality is acceptable, sound is sometimes stuttery, but acceptable. This is my best effort, most videos will only play if you start the video and do not attempt to pause, forward or reverse the video. Any attempt to utilize any of these functions results in the video freezing up, simply have to close the player and start over, cannot pause, skip commercials or reverse. Most times, these same videos will play continuosly for the first 10-15 minutes and then just pause themselves and never resume, even though the player status say that it is playing. Other videos will show a timeline of about 25 seconds, status bar will go to the end immediately, though video will continue to play for entire program, just cannot puase or manipulate direction, have to let play and endure commercials. I have tried installing the time stamp software update as well as the new registry settings and this seems to have had no effect, maybe even worse. When playing video through WMP, system resources are being used at about 70-85%, WMP only uses about 15% when playing any other content (Captured DV video, DVD content etc). My system is not super state of the art, but based on what I have read here, should be more than powerful enough. Windows XP home sp2, 2.4ghz P4, 768mhz 2700 ram, ATI 9200 128m video card, 160g 7200rpm hd. I am desperate to get this resolved, I keep recording my shows using the PVR, but I record everything on VHS as well because of the unreliability of the pvr. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, at this point, I am almost ready to scrap the whole project and try something else.
I went to check out if there was a warrenty on the Haup site (I thought it has a 1yr agreement), and decided to checjk out their store. There was the 150 MCE 7 IP, but no 1045 model.
I added an ati ehome wonder card to my system, my system already had a hauppauge 150 card, my question in how do I tell the software to use one card or the other when recording programs?
I had a very good friend of mine to come up with a vbscript that will delete the oldest recordings when you get low on hard drive space (I'm working with a 40 GB hard drive on my laptop here). He didn't want to mess with the plugin interface because he's never used Gbpvr and said that this would be much easier. He calls the the vbscript in PostProcessing.bat and the script determines how much free space you have on a drive, determines if you've reached the predetermined low disk space level, and then deletes the oldest file created in a predetermined directory. I've included the PostProcessing.bat and the AutoDelete.vbs. Please let me know what you think and if you know of any problems that I might come across. Also, if anyone wants to make it a plugin or has any suggestions on how it could be better, please go ahead and see what you can do with it.
(Also, I didn't want to use MaxRecordings because if I take this route and I end up keeping 3 recordings for every episode. What happens when my list of reoccurring recordings gets too big for my hard drive to keep 3 episodes each? I wanted it to be like his tivo, but maybe I will use a combination of the two to catch those shows that decide to have an all day marathon.)

Hi,
I have a Harmony 628 remote, courtesy of eBay...8)
I've been trying to set it up to operate gbpvr, but not having much success.
I'm using a home-made serial reciever. I know the reciever works using Winirc. I can see the raw recieved data.
Can anybody give me some idea on where to start looking at how to configure it to work gbpvr?
I've downloaded a trial of girder, I've seen posts where people have it working with a Harmony remote, but I can't seem to figure it out.
I can get other remotes to work with Winirc interfaced with Girder. But the signals that the Harmony sends seem different, it doesn't detect a clean signal and Winirc won't learn the buttons properly.
Any suggestions or links to anything helpful appreciated.
I have finally started to put my CDs on to the HDD, what I was wondering is if someone could recommend one of the music plug-ins.
As I have about 300 CDs that will be going on I need the plug-in to be able to cope with this amount along with probably about 1000 individual tunes in addition.
I expect that they would all handle this amount but one might be better than the others for usability.
So if anyone has already gone through this and they could pass on some advice it would be cool
I just got my WinTV PVR 150MCE and have installed GB-PVR. However I am having a little trouble with the tuning. No channels want to display properly  I've run Tuning Asistant but have no idea where to enter the frequency values in GBPVR.
