For NVIDIA Users: Brandnew STABLE Drivers !!!
Posted by: ShiningDragon - 2006-03-02, 01:01 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (5)

Hi Guys :-D

As Multimedia-Enthusiasts we're not seeking for maximum power and speed for cost of instability.

We need stability for our Systems. Now NVIDIA heard about us, they drive a new driver-programm called "NVIDIA Business Platform".

I'll install the drivers and test it. I don't need maximum power, i wanna have a rockstable system running 24h/day, 365 days/year

  Full Client Server Model
Posted by: DangerMouse - 2006-03-02, 12:32 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (11)

Are there any plans to convert GBPVR to a full client server model a la Myth TV? I think this functionality is critical to PVR softwares future as it maximises hardware rather than requiring a full blown powerfull server to make use of all possible PVR features with HDTV. Combined with MVP usage this would be a very powerfull feature and unique for Windows, additionally it would assist in supporting GBPVR running as a client for PC use - a much requested feature.

Any thoughts?

Steve

  Admin access needed?
Posted by: devicenull - 2006-03-01, 11:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Is there any way to not require admin access to access any part of gbpvr? I run without admin most of the time, as a security measure.. and I'd rather not have to use Run as to run gbpvr.

So, why does the gbpvr executable close when I don't have admin access? Can I fix this?

  default quality profile values?
Posted by: rig - 2006-03-01, 10:34 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I changed my high and medium quality profiles to 12000 cbr to get the best quality possible. Now I need the default settings back but dont want to reinstall. I am talking about the settings when you click capture tab > edit > settings button next to recording source and at the bottom is "Quality profile settings" box.

issue since upgrade - DVB-T recordings pixelating and judder
Posted by: canonbeck - 2006-03-01, 10:18 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi All,
Since I upgraded last week I've noticed that my recordings all seem to be riddled with pixelation and judder - especially ITV1 recordings from Sandy Heath. Prior to the upgrade eveything was fine (wife was begining to forget about sky+)

Has anyone out there noticed anything similar?

Cheers

  consecutive, same channel recordings
Posted by: djtaylor - 2006-03-01, 10:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hey, did I just see that consecutive recordings on the same channel now just use the same tuner (in a multi-tuner environment) instead of the old behaviour of using two tuners?

If so, thanks, I didn't see that in the change log for the new version.

David.

GB-PVR wont go to right monitor
Posted by: brw02005 - 2006-03-01, 09:47 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Ok here is one of my unique weird and unusual problems. I am a chemical engineer at uconn with a PVR machine that doubles as a workhorse for my studies so I rigged it up 3 monitors(specs below) and GB-PVR will only go to the ATI monitor screen when I check appear on second monitor and on the lcd monitor when I uncheck that and I just want it to go to the third lcd TV. On the display properties in windows the TV is the number 1 display and the radeon CRT and the lcd monitor are the 2nd and 3rd. I know this is a weird question I don't even have graphics cards from the same manufacturer on is a pci card and the other is a pci express.

Theater550 records garbage if PVR350 recording at same time
Posted by: GoodGuys - 2006-03-01, 08:43 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hello,

My problem is simple. When the PVR350 is recording a show, my second capture card - the Theater550 is recording static. This happens for Composite input on the 550, as well as tuner channels. However, I am not 100% sure it happens with all channels, and I am not 100% sure it happens all the time.

I have not been keeping tabs on what's going on for a while, and couldn't find a similar problem, but if it has been answered, I am sorry. Please just direct me to the thread.

Thanks,
GGF
