I currently have a PVR150 Retail (Model 1045) with the 45 button remote.
I want to buy a PVR150MCE OEM (the one without the FM and AV connector).

Now a friend of mine claims I can't get the hauppague remote to work with this combo, that I need an RF remote. I think he's wrong, but I'd like to be sure before buying. I want it so GPPVR uses both tuners.

Can anyone tell me if those two cards will work fine with one hauppauge remote?

I know that you're working on a v3 beta, is there any chance you could look at a way of utilising the XP picture rotate facility and map it to a button on the remote?

I'll happily test this version with a couple of MVP's here too, having had the memory errors a few times before, is there anything special required to get hold of the beta?

I used the WinTV PVR USB2 to record some movies. Some of them were scheduled to be 2.5 hours or 3 hours, etc.

After they were done recording, I went through all of them, and they all showed that the time recorded was 2:22:37 or 2:22:35 (approximately).

What could be causing this? Everything else I record works great.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I am trying to play HDTV content on my MVPs.
I've got a Dvico Fusion5 Lite, which plays on GBPVR ok on the local machine, but when I try to view recorded shows or live TV on the MVP, it reverts to the menu, or replays the same 1/2 second clip over and over...

Is it possible to transcode an HDTV stream into something an MVP can use?

I can play wmv files using my MVP, but the audio is delayed and the aspect of the video is not correct (the video takes up about 2/3 of the screen and there is a big black bar at the bottom). Everything works fine when I use the Hauppauge server software. I don't experience the reboot problems others have had. Should I use ffdshow? If so, how do I set it up? I would appreciaite any hints or tips to solving this problem. Thanks...

Hi sub,

I was updating Appearance Manager to allow selection of task images when I discovered that GBPVR.exe has blocked access to the task image files.

Can these files be unblocked?

I just tried recording channel 27 on Rogers cable in Ottawa, Canada. I only get static however on all three occasions. The funny thing is when I watch TV in live preview or timeshift I get perfect sound and picture.

I've looked at other posts suggesting the tuning assistant but I am not convinced that it's a tuning problem because I can watch live TV.

Any suggestions on diagnosing the problem? I think the other channels record just fine.

BTW, I just upgraded to the newest drivers w/out upgrading WinTV or the IR blaster.

It's all been running fine for weeks. No config changes. Part way through yesterday, tried to play a recording and found no sound (GBPVR pc is connected to the TV). tried others - all the same. Also no sound from live TV or playing DVD. Sound is perfectly normal when viewing recordings or live TV through media MVP, so sound is being received and recorded. Also, WinDVD on the same machine plays DVD with sound, so PC hardware is OK. Any pointers on where to look?

I am a new user and these might be only my problems, but I need your help. I.e. I might have installed wrong muxs or codecs.

I have problem with recording and timeshifting live TV. When I record it seems to record but all I get is 0 length files. Timeshifting nags about: Error: Failure
playing back file. Live TV works fine as is (i.e. I get a picture watching a channel).

I would appreciate if other Twinhan DVB users could confirm by answering these questions.

1. Can anyone confirm that they have working recordings and timeshifting with a Twinhan DVB card?

2. If so, what kind of muxers and mpeg2-decodecs have you installed?

3. Which BDA-driver do you use?

4. Which version of GB-PVR are you running?

I'm running GB-PVR (GBPVR09516.msi) with latest Twinhan BDA-driver 1.2.3.4. I have the following muxes according to the muxchecker:

Need some help, everytime I exit live tv or my videos, to go back to the main menu in GBPVR , I get the following error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I've tried a slew of settings but cant seem to find what's causing this, all help appreciated , thanks.
