OK, I'm onto my next project...Making ATI Remote Wonder plugins - mostly for GBPVR, but also so that I can make plugins for my many other HTPC apps. I still use myHTPC and WinDVD

The problem is I don't know how to compile dll's in C. Can anyone give me a tutorial on what I need to compile someone's source code so that it becomes a dll?

Things I need to know:
What compiler should I use and is it free?
What are the commands to compile the thing?
If I compile a bad dll can I wreck my system?

Any other tips you C programmers can give me. I don't really know where to start

I'm currently running XP SP2 with a single PVR 150. I just picked up a faster computer with more memory that I would like to use as my digital recorder. My current GBPVR set up is working well. Does anyone know if I would have any success if I just pulled my hard drive and PVR 150 and moved them to the new computer? I've heard that XP, unlike older Windows versions, can handle this, but I didn't know if GBPVR would like the move. I like the idea of a clean install, but don't have the time to invest right now. I would apreciate any advice regarding the short cut. Thanks in advance.

In Australia some of our dvb-t channels utilise ac3 audio even for standard definition channels. Live viewing of ac3 channels works okay using the microsoft dvr-ms muxer however recording or timeshifting results in no audio.

I have tried the other mux options such as intervideo (3.0.79.81) and cyberlink (5.0.0.1307) these both result in no audio for live tv. The cyberlink mux records an mpg file without audio. The intervideo mux refuses to record anything.

I figure the dvr-ms muxer is probably the best bet as it appears capable producing of ac3 dvr-ms files with webscheduler. I have read on other forums that the cyberlink muxer is not ac3 capable, i'm unsure about the intervideo muxer.

Any ideas ? I can supply a full .ts file for testing if required.

I get an error everytime I try to update the EPG. The configuration also won't save my capture source. When I enter all the info (the epg won't load, i get the error) and hit ok, then hit ok to restart the recording service. No capture source is saved. GBPVR says to go back into the config and add a capture source. I'm running the latest version of GB with a hauppauge 150. Thanks for the help.

I am experiencing the out of order frame glitch that is common of DX 9.0c systems. After doing a bit of looking at different sites, googling, and landing right back in GBPVR's wiki, I have determined I need the older version of quartz.dll. Does anyone here have a copy of the 1.87MB version of this file? Also will this cause any incompatiblities with games and such? My machine is used for many purposes=)

How about have GBPVR record the reoccuring shows in the given time slot when the EPG goes blank?

(just had a friend forget to update his Zap2It account and missed a couple shows.)

Perhaps we can also have a reminder the shows up in conflicts when the guide goes blank.

I probably missed this, so if it exists, could someone please point me to the documentation on the functions of the buttons on the MVP remote control with GB-PVR?

In particular, wondering if some of the features from the stock software were implemented the same. Fast-forward/rewind don't seem to work right for me with GB-PVR. Also, the stock software uses the number buttons to jump through lists or through a playing video, 1 = 10% jump, 2 = 20% jump, etc. I haven't had any luck with these either.

When I play avi's that are not full aspect, ie it's size is 640x272, it get's stretched to full screen. Is there anyway to correct this? When I was using MythTV it came out approximately the right size. Thanks
