We talked about this awhile back. I found a little tutorial on how to do it. Its pretty straight forward.

I get the following error when I enter timeshift mode in live tv mode:
Timeshift problem: Error: Failure playing back file

What am I doing wrong or is this a known issue?

I also always get a 0 file length when Im trying to record any channel at all. Eventhough the GBPVR says the recording went just fine.

I've searched the forums and not sure what the answer is. This just started. When I skip ahead (or even back), my audio goes out. If I press it again, then it comes back (after a 1 sec. delay).

The mpg file works fine under windows media player--i can go forward and backward no problem

I manually edited the config.xml to add some video library paths. I have to edit it to enter them in the form \\machinename\share

Like a fool i didnt take a copy first and now whenever i try to run gbpvr or config i get an exception.

Could anyone tell what is wrong with it? I really dont want to have to reinstall.

I am trying to get my GBPVR to work on my new computer which runs MS Media Center Operating System. It seems to get hung up on the "Loading Application..." step. Has anyone out there gotten this to work?

-Pinnacle card drivers only from latest software version 3.4
-BDA entry for Pinnacle 200e place in INI file

Can someone please help me get this working.
In configuration i managed to get the card setup as a BDA device. I selected Southern England as region (Im in London) & the transmitter Crystal Palace.
EPG source set to DVB EPG BROADCAST

I ran Map digital channels to EPG & it picked up some channels but did missed quite a few. With same antenna im able to pick up about 86 channels with the standalone freeview box. After doing a few RECANS & no success i thought i move on for now & see how it all views so far in the Live TV.
When i select Live TV i just get a BLANK BLACK screen.. sometimes freezes other times just stays BLACK & i have to quit or kill the application.

Any ideas why this is happening ?
Anyone else manged to get the 200e working with GBpvr ?


Help / guidance would be much apprecaited.

I can't seem to figure this out - I've got a transparent control, and am using the following code to try and make the composite image transparent (I'm overriding OnPaint):

e.Graphics.Clear(Color.Transparent);
e.Graphics.DrawImage(this.DisplayableImage, this.Loc);

If I put the Clear statement below DrawImage, as it's done in the skeleton plugin, the whole image becomes black.

BTW, I'm using SkinHelper's GetNamedImage to generate DisplayableImage.

Anyone ever run into something like this?

UPDATE: the whole source code has been posted at SourceForge, if you need to take a look (offending code is at line 116 of CompositeImage.cs). (BTW, the WYSIWYG is now connected to the selected XML file, and lets you see properties for selected composite images. However, there's currently a problem if you close one skin, then open another. I think I'll eventually try an MDI or tabbed interface so you can have mult. skins open. The directory tree view also has context sensitve menues that all work.)

Anyway, if you help me solve the problem, I'll put your name in the credits ('cause of course, it would be impossible to do yourself, having the source code available and all, but that would be cheating ).

I really wanted a way to access my recordings and media library remotely, so I started work on webStreamer. It integrates into the GBPVR web admin, and currently allows you to stream your recordings according to the bitrate you choose (150k, 256k, etc). At least for now, you will need to have VLC installed on both the GBPVR system, as well as the computer you're using to view the stream.

This is a VERY EARLY release, but I just wanted to let people have a look and play with it a bit. There's also a crude seek function (forward and backward); I'm not sure if I'll keep it in or not. I've tested the streamer and was able to easily watch my recordings over the internet when I was away from home. I plan to add much more whenever I find some free time.

Since it's an early alpha version, I haven't put in any config options yet. For it to work, you'll need to use Firefox (IE support is trivial to add, I just haven't done it yet since I don't use IE), have VLC and GBPVR installed in the default locations (C:\Program Files\), and your router/firewall will need to have port 1234 opened.

Drop the files into your GBPVR web folder and point your browser to http://your_machine:7647/gbpvr/stream.aspx (or replace 7647 with the port you use for webadmin).

Latest Version: .80, support for Windows Media Player for the first time

Been runing GBPVR for a few months now with a PVR-150. Thinking of adding another tuner and am looking at the options. Obviously another 150 or even a 500 should be easy to add. But just wondering does anyone use or considered this card:

Do any of you have any idea if it's possible to get the Diamond PVR600 tuner working in gbpvr? I'm using snapstream right now and am hating it with a passion....

The tuner is an external USB2 box that does internal MPEG2 compression. WDM/DirectShow drivers are provided, and I can watch TV through VLC using the directshow interface in there.

Any suggestions? I see the softwareRecorder plugin here, and would really rather not have to recompress the mpeg-2 stream. I have no idea what chipset the box is based upon..... there's a good chance that it's got something in common with one of the supported boxes.
