I manually edited the config.xml to add some video library paths. I have to edit it to enter them in the form \\machinename\share

Like a fool i didnt take a copy first and now whenever i try to run gbpvr or config i get an exception.

Could anyone tell what is wrong with it? I really dont want to have to reinstall.

Why did you need to edit the config to show that path, I have 6 UNC type paths in mine and I did it all through the config feature..was it not working for you that way? Reason I ask is not to point fault but once you get it working I am assuming you will want to point at these shares again..

Well, a quick scan shows me the following lines:

Quote: <RecordingsDirectory>C:\Rec'rdings</RecordingsDirectory>
-> Here I think that standard xml won't take a ' character. Unless it's a type, it should be:
<RecordingsDirectory>C:\Rec'rdings</RecordingsDirectory>
And this one:
Quote: <VideoLibraryDirectoryRemote Recorded~\\richard\Video|</VideoLibraryDirectory>
Which I think should be:

<VideoLibrary>DirectoryRemote Recorded~\\richard\Video|</VideoLibraryDirectory>

Ok by using a compare tool and comparing it to the "do not edit" config.xml i have got it to stop crashing now, however after viewing live tv or a recording, when i exit i get a "object reference not set to an instance of an object" error
