Hi I'am unable to download the weather forcast. I installed today the weather plug-in 4.0, but then get a screen which shows:

Hey Reven, here are a couple thoughts on My Pictures:

1. A function to be able to print pictures
2. A function to be able to select pictures and burn them on a CD.

I recently purchased a Mercury EZ View tuner (Conexant CX 23881)

and I am hoping to use GB-PVR as a replacement for the awful PVR software that came with the card.

When using the tuning assistant, if I select Conexant Blackbird, I get popups
"ConnectPins failed!"
followed by
"Failed to connect pinNameCrossbarAudioDecoderOut to pinNameCaptureAnalogAudioIn"
It then successfully scans through the channels (picture looks good) but there is no sound.

If I select any other card, I get the message "Failed to find Crossbar filter. Wrong device type?"

If I try to watch live TV from GB-PVR I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library message.
"Debug Assertion Failed!

If I click Ignore, I get a message "No tuners available..."

Is it likely that I will get GB-PVR to work with this card? Should I use a software encoder instead of Direct Recording Plugin?

I have some videos that i dont want the kids to access (and its not p**n )

How about when defining the folders in my videos to be able to set a 4 digit pin.

Then when you try and navigate into it you get prompted for the pin.

I would want it to be specified on each virtual folder so different people can get into different things.

I have been using the CDK Scheduler / Rectracker combination for a while and for the most part I'm really pleased with it.

But (ofcourse) there's just one thing that's slightly annoying: Rectracker (for XML-TV) uses all of title, subtitle and description to match the recording to a previous one...

Unfortunately, my XML-TV provider manages, for a lot of programs that get broadcasted twice on the same day, to have something like: "rerun of 09:00" in the description.

This means, that these shows do not get marked as dupicactes (even though title and subtitle match).

Is it possible to change the logic of Rectracker to disable the match on description (with a command-line switch maybe?). If you're stuck for time, I could make the changes myself (sourcecode is on sourceforge right).

I just want to make sure this is something you would think is open for discussion...

After some discussion with the Xtools developers (especially King Argyle) I have created a small tool that will allow you to un-schedule all recordings that were mede with CDK Scheduler (PriorityRecordings.exe).

Living in an XML-TV country and being stuck with an XML-TV provider that sports a lot of wrong information in the programme guide, I have had frequent problems with recordings being rescheduled.

XML-TV data, missing the unique show-identifier, does not enable GBPVR to automatically reschedule the recording when the time in the program guide changes.

I schedule (almost) all of my recordings through CDK Scheduler. For me, the best solution was:

From the scheduled batch-file that downloads my XML-TV data:
- Remove all scheduled programs from CDK Scheduler
Then, from PostUpdateEpg.bat:
- Run PriorityRecordings.exe (to re-schedule the programs, taking into account the new times).

I have been running with this setup for over a month now, and this works like a charm for all my "standard" recordings. I am still looking for a fix for manually scheduled recordings....

Anyhoo, I have (together with the Xtools developers) added a few functions in RecordingUtils.dll (part of the XRecord plugin).

The small program that is attached in this mail, will basically undo all the recordings that were scheduled with CDK Scheduler.

Installation:

- You will need the latest version of XRecord (it has the correct RecordingUtils.dll version). The latest version (v0.45) can be downloaded from the Wiki here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/XRecord.
- Copy "DeleteSchedule.exe" from the attached zip-file to your "gbpvr" directory.

Nothing else is required.... If PriorityRecordings.exe works on your setup, so will DeleteSchedule...

Hello all,

After having lost (through my own fault) the gbpvr.mdb again, I started using XExport in my PostProcessing.bat.

This means the recording information gets saved with each recording, in the ".dat" file with the same name as the recording.

This little tool I wrote will allow you to specify your recordings root-directory, and then it will generate (in that directory) an "XImport.XML" for all recordings that have associated ".dat" information. This file ("XImport.XML") can then be loaded into gbpvr (through the "config" program).
It will automatically recurse through all subdirectories....

The program is very simple, but it has been very usefull for me. Just run "XImport [path to recordings directory]".

Source-code included in the archive.

After updating my EPG, I got an error message that said something like:

"DAMAGE: damage at Normal Block (#33) at -& then some number.

Should I reinstalled GBPVR?

I am using a DirecTV STB to Hauppage PVR-150 connection through the RF coax and the signal comes through fine in WinTV and SageTV. I only get a black screen in GBPVR regardless of the capture source. I am pretty sure I have tried all the combinations and set the channel in the config correctly (4).

What am I overlooking?

I previously had a PVR-150 setup to record to a network share. I recently removed the PVR-150 and installed a PVR-500 as part of a system upgrade. I also installed XP Pro SP2 at the same time. I have both tuners on the PVR-500 setup per the Wiki and they record correctly to the local hard drive.

Unfortunately recording with the PVR-500 to the network share does not work. When the recording directory is changed to the network share, I cannot set GBPVR to record. If I select a show in the TV Guide and try to Record or Quick Rec, the show does not highlight in red and does not show up on the Pending Recordings screen.

I have setup a user for the Recording Service and changed the logon in Services to reflect this user name and password. I also have the UNC path to the server set the Config program and the user name/password permissions set on the network share.

Any suggestions?
