I have no clue why it's doing this but initially it was splitting the files into 53sec segments since time=0.
But i found out that i had 2 of the same capture devices set(with same paramaters) so i deleted one. After deleting it, i was able to record the shows but only up to 23mins and then the files after that are split into 53sec intervals again.
I have tested it on two different recordings. For 1hr recording, it stopped at 23min and the reminaing show was split into 41.5mb.
For a second trial, i deleted all capture devices. Restarted computer, then add the capture device back in, restart again. Now i tested recording on a 30min block but it gave me a 791mb file with an additional 19 files of 41.5mb each.

onboard video card(x200 ati chipset probably)

If I choosed to Watch a show from the program guide menu, GBPVR switch to this cannel, but after that my remote would not work anymore. I have to restart GBPVR.
I have a need for some advanced file management to be used in conjunction with GBPVR converted recordings. Specifically, I would like to have this batch file scan the root Recordings folders AND their subdirectories and Move all of the files that end in .MP4 and .THM to a predetermined location (UNC path support encouraged.)
I'd also like to find a way to run this batch file once a day (i.e. sometime after the conversion process completes). I realize that a batch file can't schedule itself () but I'm sure someone knows of a reliable way to automate this.
Title says it all. I have the same bit rate settings for livetv and HQ recording profiles, but I swear LiveTV on my MVP looks much sharper and cleaner than recordings do on my MVP. I don't understand how this is even possible.
I'm using a TV Wonder Elite, custom videoprocamp settings in the direct.ini, and CBR 8000kbps video for both livetv and hq recording profiles.
Ok, I added two more capture devices, (just 'playing around' for lack of a more descriptive term) to add in my composite inputs on the tuners, so I added a duplicate of my first two, only this time stipulating "Composite, External Tuner" on both of them.
Well this evening, I was having some trouble recording, which I later narrowed down to the fact that when I set up a recurring recording event, it was starting it *next* week, not this week (Not sure why on that one...).
Well, I thought maybe my extra tuners were stopping my system from recording on the second tuner, so I wanted to delete them.
When I tried, it seemed that Config.exe just simply locked up. I "End Task'ed" quite a few times, even rebooting at one point, before I decided to just see what happened even though Windows reported Config.exe had stopped responding. I noticed that my gbpvr.mdb file appeared to be getting updated.
Is it normal for it to take 15 minutes to update it? As you can tell from my system specs, its got plenty of power, and has done most things without breaking a sweat, so I was curious on this.
I took the liberty of zipping my logs to provide them before being asked, as I did notice an interesting Error on the one that I let complete, among others. They are in a couple of descriptive subdirectories, along with readme.txt with a brief statement of what the log(s) are representing.
If you need more info, let me know. (Oh, my gbpvr.mdb is 15MB in size)
One other thing, while not related, are worth noting for future refinements:
1: Config.exe does not appear to read the current "Quality Profile Settings" for a device, as every time I return to that screen, it is always set to "Medium." I am not sure if it is not saving or if it is not reading that I have set it to High when I go back into that screen on a future date.
to start off, I love GBPVR! I've had it running and working for about 2 weeks now.
I'm currently having one of those "This shouldn't be happening" problems. I used GBPVR last night just before going to bed and it was working perfectly. This morning i woke up, go to check GBPVR and neither the viewer or the config work.
i get this error when opening config:

at startup, other errors will pop up for other applications that use .net framework and sometimes for .net framework 1.1 itself. For some reason GBPVR MVP server is starting up with windows, even though it is not on the windows startup list or in the config.xml. Removing all GBPVR entries from startup stops any error at startup, but the MVP Server still starts.
I currently have .net 1.1, .net 1.1 hotfix, and .net 2.0 (a few of my programs require 2.0) installed on my system.
a bit of background, i had restarted the computer at some time yesterday. After doing so i've not installed anything or made any changes to the system. As a bit of my own troubleshooting i've uninstalled GBPVR, .net 1.1 hotfix, .net 1.1, as well as .net 2.0. I restarted and installed and restarted each one by one, GBPVR last. still noting. I've run antivirus scans (including an internet scan), spybot, adaware, rootkit revealer, registry mechanic, and scandisk. All turn up nothing (or false negatives). Within the last week, i've transfered my components into a new computer case. I've reseated all components and reconnected all cables to make sure nothing has shaken loose since then.
I run on Windows xp pro corporate service pack 2. I run on an AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1.83 GHz, and 1.5 Gigs of RAM. There's no problems with any other programs. After everything i've done, there's still no change. Any ideas on what i could do?
Just built a PVR (my third one) on a Pentium 4 2.0ghz, 1gig RAM, ATI Rage 128 Pro, SoundBlaster PCI and a Hauppauge 150. Live TV and DVD playback (from harddrive) video looks like it is playing at 1 frame per second, giving a freeze frame effect. Sound is OK (although a bit low). Play/views fine in the WinTV2k Application. I have BeyondTV/BeyondMedia but really wanted to get GB-PVR working. Since there are a multitude of possible settings/dlls/drivers/registry entries that could impact this issue, I wanted to see if the more experienced have any ideas. Also are there any logs that might give me a clue? I really like the way GB-PVR is laid out and how it "feels", but obviously need to tweak it somehow. Thanks in advance....
