I have installed ver. 5 everything is working fine except when I try to start the Desktop App I get the following error message: "Could not load file or assembly 'slimdx.dll' " I reinstalled ver. 5 - no change. I previously installed ver. 5 on 2 other machines without a problem.
I installed the official first non-beta of V5 on a server that's running V4. I expected that it would update everything and just work, like previous version updates, but I'm still seeing V4. V5 is installed. I see all the new files in C:\Program Files\NextPVR. But none of my settings seem to have come across to V5.
Are there some extra steps involved?

OK, I acknowledge that I am probably the only person running NPVR in a Docker container on a Windows 10 host, but for some reason in this config trying to get the logs from the button in the web admin generates a 500 error. Same Docker container running in Docker on my Mac works fine. So it isn't NPVR or even the Docker container. Sub, if you have a minute, could you give a description of how the logs are retrieved and zipped? If I understood that I could at least troubleshoot some more. At the end of this, I'm fine if I can't get the logs using the web admin, and I'm hoping this particular config will only be for another month or two until I get a new NAS I can use with Docker.
So basically, please don't run NPVR from a Docker container on Windows 10.
I have an old 80's camcorder that has an RF converter box. When I hook that up to a regular old TV's coax input, I can see the video on channel 3 or 4, depending on what I select.
Now, I am trying to use NextVPR and my Hauppage 950Q (a USB TV tuner card) to record this signal. The device drivers have been installed and I see the device in NextVPR. I have installed the LAV video/audio decoders for MPEG. When I try to set up my device, whether I try ATSC, QAM, or IPTV, I am unable to get a lock on the channel that I'm broadcasting on, i.e., it scans right past channel 4 when I'm playing the video. Am I missing something? I wouldn't think I need to amplify the signal (with a VCR or something with an integrated RF converter) because my TV uses it just fine, or is that not a good assumption? \
Edit: in case it matters for the scanning routine, it's a black and white video camera (the Fisher Price PXL 2000) that also leaves a large black border around the edges.
Before I get too far involved I better ask for help. I'm trying to do my first install of V5, using subs directions, "To install NextPVR on Windows, simply run https://nextpvr.com/NPVRSetup.exe." It appears to download the files and starts to install, but it seems to just paint the green bar and hang telling me it's "Installing Files". I thought maybe I needed to be running WIN 10, but that acts the same way. What am I doing wrong?
I access the files via a share drive, and all I see is a directory full of the same files, with the episode info off the screen. Since I have the show name in the directory I don't need it repeated in the file name too, at least not first.
I don't mind changing the file name in the post-processing script, but then I am not sure how NextPVR DB will know where to find the renamed file.
Is there some way to configure the file name used? Or failing that, some way to let NextPVR know the new name of the file?
