When i watch TV for a while maybe 4 to 5 hours and it doesnt have to be all at once the sound just all of a sudden stops working. I have tried resetting my PC, installing diff drivers and it doesnt work. The only thing that seems to work is when i go into setup and switch the audio decoder to a diff one and then switch it back and even that really doesnt work every time.

I just purchased an mvp from radio shack, hooked it up....got a ip from my dhcp server, then goes to a screen that says "loading application", from there it just sits? Am I missing something, i have gbpvr set to autostart 1 server. The only thing is my connection to the mvp is wired, but my connection to my pvr box is wireless 802.11g. I've streamed video from it manually for months with no problem, is the mvp just more picky? I hope not because I have my pvr in a location where it's really not feasible to try and get wires to it? Any suggestions?

I have two mvp's..one in the bedroom..one in the family room.

One of them is a D3A and One is a D1. The one in the bedroom works great, responds quickly to remote, etc. The one in the family room plays video fine, etc. but it takes six or eight presses of every button to get the remote to work, sometimes it will work well for four or five remote presses in a row, then start being sluggish again..

I switched the two mvp's around..same problems in the family room with the mvp from the bedroom plugged in..

I do have a remote extender in the family room as the components are in a cabinet with a closed door, but I left the door open and pointed the remote directly at the mvp with same results..

I feel I have ruled out the mvp unit itself as switching them around yielded same results.

I have used the two remotes interchangeably with same results..

Offhand,it would seem like a network issue, but the family room mvp (the one with remote problems) plays video just fine and I don't have problems with it disconnecting, etc..sure does act like a buffering thing, though..

Most of the time only one mvp is on at a time, but results are the same with both turned on.

Anyone seen a problem like this in the past? Any ideas..

I downloaded the msi and when i try to install it i keep getting errors.

I know this sounds crazy but everything and every channel I have recorded shows on have worked great except for nickoldeon. I live in Michigan and have comcast TV service.
It doesn't matter if I instant record or schedule it, all I get is static. the picture is great but all I get is static.

If I watch it throught gbpvr I get no sound but if I watch or record it through WinTV2000 everything is fine.
Any ideas? this one has me stumped because this is the only channel that I have a problem with. And wouldn't you know that is the channel that has a couple of shows my kids like :confused:
I am using the latest gbpvr and have a pvr 150 card.

I'm running a russian version of windows xp, and gbpvr won't complete installation. All of the other programs I've installed have not reacted adversely to the russian OS, but I don't know what else could cause the problem. I have support for english, of course--the only difference is that windows-related messages are printed in russian. My drives are all named in english, etc.

When I try to install GBPVR, I get the message: Internal Error 2908 {A31FFC4C-7A78-4B48-B816-571BE429ECB9}. Installation continues, however, until I get the following message: Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'wmppia,Version="9.0.0.3095",PublicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35",Culture="neutral",GUID="6bf52a50-394a-11d3-b153-00c04f79faa6". HRESULT: 0x8002802F.

Do those errors sound like the russian OS is the culprit?

Im curious as to what you all think the best system for gbpvr to run on flawlessy.. And is on a budget.. No crazy 3.8 ghz 64bit intel p4 extreme...

How much ram?

Cheap good hard drive space?

Best tuner??

Best video card?

But all resonably priced!!

RIght now when i record stuff. I use tmpgenc mpeg editor to cut out commercials. Then autogk to encode it to xvid.

I could use comksip and comclean to edit out commercials on mpegs.. But it tends to miss stuff or call certain things commercials.

GBPVR has auto convert to xvid .. but there arnt any settings to change.. Also most tv shows are differnt as to watch Ratio they need to be encoded too. Like standard cast My Name Is Earl is 4:3... The office is 16:9 .....

Has anyone had any luck doing this all automated with out any hiccups?

OK, here goes is anyone using the ATI7000 32MB video card? In particular the ASUS version.
If so what settings are you using in GBPVR.

Now for why I ask the question:
- GBPVR stutters slightly
- TV output SDTV via composite is OK, but not great (no S-Video on card - $24.00 card)

- would a newer, upgraded video card improve on the two mentioned issues?

My configuration is:
- AMD ATHLON 2000XP
- 512KB
- PVR 150
- (2) Disk drives GBPVR on one, recorded files on the other (7200RPM)
- MVP hard wired

Been on this board for weeks/month/years..............heard a new power supply might help, heard a video card would help, more memory, diff decoders, cables etc, etc.............

Should I just have another glass of wine get blurry eyed, and not worry about it??

I am getting some error message about the dimensions of the rectangular box when flipping moving forward in time in the TV Guide. This is the first time I have ever seen it since I started using GBPVR 3 weeks ago. It does it everytime now. I have to restart the MVP to get it working again. Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas on what might be causing it?
