Make no mistake. This is a work in progress. I am being sent OS to the land of NTSC for a few weeks so I will not be able to advance it any further for a while. If there are any skinners with talent or experience who would like to help I would very much appreciate it.

This isn't exactly a support question - sub, you can delete this if it is too silly. I was wondering what the function of the Palm Database File in the main GBPVR directory (exifreader.pdb) is. Can we actually access some of the GBPVR functionality on a PDA?

I have another monitor hooked up to my GBPVR setup, but I can't for the life of me decide what to have running on the second screen. I was thinking maybe some kind of inforrmation center (shows weather, events, etc.) but I can't think of a good one.

If you have a TV + monitor setup, what do you have / suggest running on the second screen?

I installed the lastest verison of comskip and it's detecting the commercials. I call comclean after processing and it creates the mpg file without the commercials. When I go to play the cleaned mpg in GBPVR or any player the sound is off by about 2 secs when compared to the video. Any ideas? Thanks.

How do I force the Live Tv screen to be 4:3, 16:9 etc ??

When viewing LiveTv the details that are overlayed on to the screen shows the channel name and number, it's icon and the EPG data.

Not all the EPG data is shown. Some of it is cut of..

It's as if the Overlay needs to be an inch taller or the font a bit smaller.

Anything I can do about it ?

Is it possible to edit the database which keeps all the video recordings info, such as title, description, etc? Is there a specific file where this info is stored?

Is there an easy way to join multiple mpeg files that were created from VA DVD2MPG into one mpg file?

Ok - hand up. I did something foolish.........

Somehow I managed to create two reoccuring schedules for exacly the same program. :o Obviously they all conflict with each other.

Good news is that GBPVR still records the program.

Bad news is that when I try to delete either of the reoccuring jobs GBPVR goes away for a long time to think about it. Only 'esc' brings it back.

I wondered if this was a case for manually editing the database? If so where would one start?
