Currently run one PVR-150 with gbpvr on a dedicated machine. I do have an ATI TV-Wonder unused in another machine. Could the ATI card be added to the machine with the PVR-150? Can gbpvr even deal with 2 TV cards?
Sometimes there are certain movies that have long titles like: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe" And the title goes on two lines which then overlaps with the time. Is this a skin or plugin issue? If it's a skin issue, any thoughts on how to fix it. If it's a plugin issue, could this be added to the 'to do' list
I love the fact that the recorded shows can automatically covert for iPod especially since I got one for Christmas! I was wondering if there was a way to automatically remove the comercials, before converting mp4?

Just a little question before I jump into the world of PVR
Seeing as I would have to buy a copy of windows to run GB-PVR why would I chose this insted of buying a copy of windows media center?
Currently I'm thinking of getting freeview (UK) and sat running on the same box. Wether this is via pci cards or by using the settop boxes I don't know yet. Would like the option to watch and record on both (which I think will be 2 card for each).
I was having lots of video tearing when I watched tv in timeshift or live preview.
It turns out it was because I had the resolution set too high for the TV. I lowered it from 1024x768 to 800x600. Now the tearing is all gone. I guess the output resolution was way too high for a normal TV it might be different on a monitor.

Output video directly to TV - 15 year old Sony Trinitron

Cyberlink video and audio decoder
Overlay - so much sharper, contrast and saturation than vmr9
No FFDSHOW
Just got a new PVR150 and am having a heck of a time trying to install. I'm using a RCA Directv receiver and if I run svideo, the picture in wintv is B/W. If I run composite, I get color in Wintv and B/W in GBPVR. If I open wintv, the color comes on in GBPVR. If I set both to composite, the colors fine. I just would really prefer to use svideo.
The IR Blaster isn't working either. In GBPVR TV guide, when I change a channel, i see the channel number change on the DTV screen. Then it goes back to the channel it was originally on, the channel never changes. The channel display only on GBPVR changes to the new channel. Does this make sense to anyone?:confused: Sure could use some help.
Would be grateful for a little clarity regarding .NET 2.0 as I've seen a thread where you said GBPVR doesn't work with 2.0.
My main machine had 1.1 installed (with the service pack) and I updated to version 2.0 a couple of weeks ago before I saw your comments. GBPVR continues to work fine.
I've just built a new machine (XP SP2) and installed .NET 2.0. The GBPVR config programme won't run on this machine exiting with a problem apology message. I've had to back out 2.0 and install 1.1. Everything now works. Updating then back to 2.0 GBPVR stays working.
Should users who've installed 1.1 be able to update to 2.0 and expect it to work or is my experience a fluke?
I've got GBPVR up and running with a PVR-150 card, getting locals from an antenna on coax input, and Dish Network from a 301 box on S-Video. Apart from what looks to me like a lower than normal frame-rate on the display that I'll learn to live with maybe, it works great.
I'm using the Hauppauge IR Blaster to change channels on my Dish box. Is there any way to have GBPVR simply send the "channel up" and "channel down" IR signal instead of explicitly specifying the channel number? For instance, let's say I've got ESPN (ch 140) and CNN (ch 200) on my list. Pressing channel up on my remote makes GBPVR blast 2 - 0 - 0 - enter , and this slows down channel surfing to a crawl. It would be much much faster if a simple channel up/down could be done instead.
Who here has experience with setting up a DirectTivo and been able to record to streams? Currently, I have two feeds from my dish into the DirectTivo, I've read some scattered posts, but no coherent "how two" really exists about this....specifically the following...
1. What capture card(s) to use?
2. What Remote to use? (firefly)
3. What other hardware/software is needed (USBUirt, Girder)
4. What would the peak processor use be when recording two shows at once and watching another?
I have it set to automatically enter timeshift mode on channel change. When I watch a program, it freezes at the end and does not continue to whatever comes on next. I believe this happens all of the time, but it did not happen when I had it in preview mode. Maybe it has something to do with the buffer? I searched for this problem but could only find some PVR-350 specific problems.
