I'm trying to place .MOV files created by my Panasonic/Lumix digital camera into a library where they can be viewed using GBPVR. These are short (a few minutes at most) videos.
They playback as black video and normal audio, under GBPVR.
I tried loading the MOV file into:
Windows XP MediaPlayer 10 latest - same black with audio
Nero - same as MediaPlayer 10
Apple QuickTime for Windows - shows video and audio normally.
Something odd in this camera's MOV files, I guess.
When I'm watching a show and hit record, it says recording, but it doesn't. I have to go to the program guide, select the show, and then record.
If I'm watching a show that's recording and I'm not live, I can't get back to live. I can only get to within whatever amount of time the skip button is set to.
The numbers on the remote don't work. A lot of stuff on the remote doesn't work actually. Is there any way that I can view each button on the remote and change what each one does?
These are pretty minor issues, I can still get by pretty easily. Just wanted to see if there were any quick fixes. Lovin the program though!

when i press update EPG in the configuration tool it comes up with the error:
your epg source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG source settings and try again.
after searching for a while i still cant seem to get the epg to update

I have a hauppauge pvr150mce tuner card and i am running xp, also all my antivirus/spyware/firewalls are disabled but i am on a router. Also what ports would have to be enabled if that is the problem?
I am using a clean install of GBPVR .95.16 on a XP-sp2 system with a Hauppauge 150MCE tuner in it. I am sucsusfully using Zap2it to download the guide.
When ever I am in GB-PVR and I select "TV Guide" it comes up saying "Error: Object referance not set to an instance of an object." and I cannot go any furthure.
I am able to use the "Search Guide" menu to find & record shows.
Perhaps of a different matter - Some times when it records shows it will fail 1 to 6 times before each recording, so when I loot to see ho many show I got, rather than saying I recorded 4 episodes last night it comes up saying I got 24 of them - 20 of them failed.
I just wanted to say that GB-PVR is the best tuner & capture program out there, I love it with my MediaMVP - and think Hauppauge should make GB-PVR the default program with their equipment.
The processing for files is very weird in what it chooses to do. Sometimes it manages to develop Comskip files, encode to XVID, and delete the original as I want it to do. Other times it is sporadic, the most common problem being that it doesn't encode to XVID and has an MPEG called with an "_original.mpg" suffix. These MPEGs do not show up in the recording tabs, so I have to manually move them out to some generic video library folder to play them.
Another issue that's not such a big deal is sometimes Comskip runs and makes log files, but no actual commercials are detected. I would think that's somewhat normal though, so I have no beef with that.
My question is, what can I do to alleviate any of this?
UPDATE: I found an update on the Happauge site (Hauppauge Video Decoder version 5). Once installed, I am able to see and record LiveTV!! WooHoo!!!!

I have just installed a Happauge WinTv-PVR 150 MCE card. After installing GBPVR (and finally getting the EPG to update), I am unable to see anything in "Live TV". I hear the audio but the picture is black. I tried recording to see if that would work but no go, I still see black (with audio). I am able to use a tv program (DScaler) and view tv channels as well as the Tuning Assistant. After many settings tweaks I am at a dead end...any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please note: I have "toyed" with this software using my old Zoltrix GenieTV card but I uninstalled GBPVR (and rebooted) before re-installing to use with the 150 (perhaps there is a conflict with old setting?).
I'm in the early stages of planning to build a dedicated PVR after I upgrade my main computer later this year (hopefully). I've researched several of the diy pvr solutions and really like the looks of gbpvr. When I first found this site, I thought that I saw system requirements listed somewhere (a P-III 733 comes to mind), but now I can't find them. Are the minimum/recommended system specs listed somewhere? Thanks.
Will two Nova-T USB2 devices work with GBPVR? I have just received budgetary approval from my wife for a second tuner and want to make sure that it will happily coexist with my existing tuner.
Any hints and tips on dual tuner setup are welcome; I am currently using the DVB EPG and the Cyberlink MUX and it works far better than our Sky+ box.

Are there any benefits to using dual channel RAM for GBPVR. I am about to upgrade my Shuttle which is struggling with 512MB of PC2700 in a single stick running a Nova-T USB2 and 4 MVP's.
I wish to add a second tuner and another MVP or two and don't know whether I will benefit from replacing the existing RAM with a matched pair of 512's or to add a stick of 1GB. The machine is predominantly used for GBPVR.
Does anyone know the pro's and con's of dual channel RAM for PVR boxes, for about £70 I could end up with 1GB of dual channel or 1.5GB of regular! Any advice will be welcome,
