Hey y'all

Do you know how to change the visualization behind displayed? When I had Win Media Player, there was a "random" mode where the vis would not always be the same, dunno how to activate it. I don't have Windows Media Player installed, so I don't have the usual interface to access that parameter.

Also, the viz seems to be very low resolution. When I click on it to make it full screen, I got big pixels flying all over the place :/ Any idea if that can be changed?

I just received a MediaMVP to go with GBPVR. I had some problems getting it to connect until I disabled my Windows XP firewall. I don't want to leave my firewall off and was wondering what settings I could insert to make an exception for the MediaMVP. I put the the IP address of the MediaMVP, but was wondering about the other settings. TCP, UDP and port settings. Thanks for any help!!!

1 Have the information for all available channels (I have Info for unavailable channels and no info for channels like BBC TWO using DVB EPG)
2 Have the channels listed in an order I want[/COLOR]

I have tried using the Bleb option in the EPG source but it would only add very little information to the TV guide for a few channels and took ages.

I have also tried to use xmltv but it looks like it needs a lot of configuring and I lost interest after being asked do I want BBC2?, BBC2 east, BBC2 London, BBC2 North ..... Etc. (I began to wonder if people using XMLTV actually had anytime left to watch the programs they recorded on their PVR)

So how I can get a TV guide that works 100%?

Also just an idea would it be possible to just download someone elses GBPVR folder for a particular setup i.e. UK Hauppauge Nova T East Midlands region? Would make it much simpler to get a working setup with all the handy plugins pre installed and configured.

How can I get the station icons to appear against the channel names (or replace them) in the epg / guide ?

"BBC Radio 4" becomes "BBC Radio" etc

Does anyone notice after a couple of days of uptime that their audio/video sync goes out??

I find that, and if I leave it for a week, all video taken off the composite cable comes out fuzzy.

A quick reboot normally sorts everything out though.

Any way to get GB-PVR working with XP 64-Bit ??

It installs and then crashes when I try to launch either config or GBPVR !!

When I watch a show delayed in timeshift mode, it looks as good as live TV. But when I record a show at high quality it looks really bad, but not in the usual too much compression sorta way. It's really smooth and everything, but it has a ton of static. Any ideas?

First off, I want to say thanks to Sub and to all in this forum. I built a PVR over the summer and the threads on this board have been a great help! Currently all I use it for is to record TV, but hopefully I will get the commercials cut successfully in time, along with a little compression would be nice.

There was a little bit of time I debating switching this computer (see sig) with my fiancée’s 1Ghz Thunderbird, but I think my Sempron will come in handy later if I ever get things working the way I want. Besides, I need it for BitTorrent (lightens the load on my main desktop).

Anyways, I built the system with a 9250. Video playback has been interesting. It seems really choppy when fast forwarding and on occasion when starting playback off of a pause. All the decoding is done via software (in GB-PVR settings). I know there are people with various experiences with a 9250, and I don't know if that is related to any of my problems (my guess is "no").

However, I am giving my fiancée my Radeon 9600 Pro and am taking back her GeForce 4200. Would it be beneficial to me to put the GeForce in my PVR? Would it offer smoother playback? I don't have an issue with the TV-out quality of my 9250, in fact I find it much nicer than my GeForce 2 ever was! The perk of the 9250 is it is passively cooled, while I could make the GeForce quiet if I remove the fan!

Anyone have any thoughts? And sorry for the question, it seems like the ideas have been asked a lot, but I haven't been able to find much comparing these two cards. Regardless, keep up the great work, the program and these forums are great!

I have an intresting problem. What is happening with me is my audio and video are good when I am watching live TV but when I playing back a recording video is good but audio is completly staticky to the point I can't hear anything except static. I am running win XP SP2 Haupauge 150. Any ideas I would greatly appreciate them.
