I have two tuners and now start to watch one recording whilst recording another. I find that skipping forwards/backwards on a recorded mpeg is very slow whilst another tuner is recording to the same hard disk.
Would having each tuner card set to record to its own partition or even drive improve the read times as described above?
sub is there any way for the inset to be a non rectangle shape? eg a oval shape?
heres a screen shot of the PM3 skin, and the only place i can think of to put it on screen is well here, and its an oval shape.
on xbmc the visualisation is placed where the task image is, but the buttons are shown on top of the visualisation ( err theres like 3 layers, a background, the visualisation and then the foreground (buttons, music panel etc)).
I was configuring an ATI HDTV Wonder as a capture source and was trying to update the epg. It just hangs with the message "Saving new listings and channel information." I've attached the config file.
Is it possible for gbpvr to run a batch file before the recording starts? For example, I would like to kill the hauppauge radio program before gbpvr starts recording.
I've searched and looks like ParallelProcessing.bat might be the place to do it, but does it run BEFORE recording starts?
The holidays finally gave me time to do some internet research and I came across this and other PVR sites. This technology is so cool and I'm game! I even told my brother-in-law about it yesterday and he's going to check it out too since he was thinking about getting Tivo for my sister.
We have a computer with cable modem in one room and the house is prewired for network connection in that room, the living room, and bedroom. So is it a simple matter of just buying a pvr card, MediaMVP, hooking everything up, downloading GBPVR, and being good to go? Does this sound right?
I'm debating on the Hauppauge PVR 150 or 500 and am not sure which one to get. We don't watch too much TV and the 150 is cheaper. Any thoughts?
I've also read some posts where people have said they have multiple pvr cards in their computers. What is the advantage of having say a 500 and a 150 or two 500s in one computer?

There are a whole load more of the 'Caught unexpected exception' entries on thread [95] and then the log ends - 35 entries in total which could be a coincidence but it makes 5 for each cap. source I have. Is this a possible corrupt entry in the XML file? I'm taking a look at it now.

So in 1mn 30 seconds, the MVP sent more than half of its frames to the switch malformed or in error? I was wondering if that was a known bug, or if one of you had noticed that already on their switch.
I tried forcing every combination of speed (100 or 10 Mbps) and duplex, and I still can't get rid of all those errors...
Any ideas?

I am wondering what everyone is using as a capture source for their cable tuner and how they would rate it from 1 to 10 (1 bad - 10 The BEST).
I reciently purchaced the WinTV-USB2 and it doesnt seem to work with GBPVR. I can get the IR remote to work just fine however it seems as though every driver for every hauppauge device is in GBPVR but this one. On a side note i was not very happy with the quality of the image of this tuners capture source. It seems to be very grainy, choppy and poor reselution. I have an old All-In-Wonder Radeon card that I have had for years that looks better than my TV downstairs but GBPVR does not support it and the this version of the all-in-wonder was made in the pre-remote control days.
I'm probably taking back the WinTV-USB2 model#1020 unless someone has a fix for it. I'm probably going to look into a newer all-in-wonder card that is compatible but i think that the remotes are all RF. I need an IR remote so my pronto and AMX system can control it. Any suggestions?
