I have MediaMVP and I have setup GBPVR on my PC. I don't have tuner card to record programs. I just want to see EPG info and search for movies etc with MediaMVP from my living room. I am able to successfully download EPG data from zap2it. I can see EPG data in search results. However, when I try to display EPG using "TV Guide" menu option, it gives me following error message
"No channels have been setup. Please run the configuration utility and setup the EPG source......"
Can I display EPG info without a tuner card in my PC?

Hello...
I would like to request an enhancement (if possible)...
I am currently using another machine on my network for storing recordings. The web admin you build still works fine, but when I go into the statistics page, to view how much disk space I have left, I dont see the diskspace graphic, but rather "Could not load info for ZeusVideo". Now - Zeus is my server that the recordings are on and Video is the share name. The xml for my recordings directory in the gbpvr config file looks like this:
Hello,
I seem to be having trouble recording to mapped drives. I have a machine on the network where I would like to store my video. Is it possible to point the recordings directory to the mapped drive? (such as J:\)
I have moved video files over to the mapped drive and adjusted the database and config to point to the new drive location, but upon startup, gbpvr seems to delete the recording entry from the database. Also, when I go through the web client and look at the statistics page, It says "could not load info for J:" Does this mean I cant use the mapped drive? I am pretty confident its not a permissions issue, as everyone has full access to the shared drive... Any thoughts???
I know this problem was mentioned before, f.e. under the Skins part of the forum, but there are no good answers.
I get the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when viewing LiveTV and after viewing every recording. For the rest the system works fine. It did not happen before, only after installing the 09516 version (must admit I missed a few versions before this, I upgraded from 09413).
I unchecked almost all plugins, but that did not help.
In the error log I see:

When I edit the Main Menu blue skin.xml file, and remove the remarks tags in the line for the Inset, that error disappears, and the Menutype error line remains. <!--<SpecialElement name="Inset" loc="490,150" size="180,150"/> -->
Sub, I read that the Inset thingy is something you use for yourself. Maybe you left something in the code that should not be there.
I've been browsing through the manual and forum, but I can't find out whether GBPVR is capable of lossless (i.e. bit-for-bit) recording of DVB streams (as for example is possible with the software that comes with my Hauppauge Win Nova-T card)... I would be grateful if anyone could answer this question!
Hi there, I've searched as much as I can and I can't find a solution to my issue(s). This may not be a GB-PVR issue, but I just can't tell.
System setup:
WinXP SP2 on Shuttle XPC w/ VIA FX43G, Duron, PVR-500, VGA monitor
In GB-PVR I only setup one capture source (to start), I've installed various video & audio decoders and I've tried all of them with the same result: a black screen and system freeze requiring hard reboot. I've tried every combination of audio and video decoders and renderers. The capture source appears to be set up correct, with EPG settings and all.
Video decoders: Cyberlink (x2); Elecard
Audio decoders: AC3Filter; Intervideo
Any help is much appreciated, and I'm a novice in the world of PVR, but not in hardware and software installation/maintenance.
Since updating to v0.95.16, I've noticed that it often fails to process the comskip data correctly - no commercials seem to show up in the timeline. The ComSkip file is there and lines like the following appear in GBPVR.log which seem to say that the file has beem found:
12/16/2005 6:27:33 PM.921 INFO [2] playFile(Wednesday 12/14/2005 11:00:00 PM)
12/16/2005 6:27:36 PM.812 INFO [2] Loading commercial skip point file: E:\Recording\The Daily Show With Jon Stewart\The Daily Show With Jon Stewart_20051214_23002330.txt
The comskip file for that particular show has the following text:
FILE PROCESSING COMPLETE 53822 FRAMES
-------------------
1 225
13360 19239
28288 33273
46938 51006
The interesting part is that sometimes the commercial list is loaded if I either stop playback and restart it (rarely) or exit GBPVR and restart (this almost always works, but only for the first video I play). Any suggestions?
