Hi, i've got the 95.16 build of gbpvr installed and was wondering about dvb teletext.
If I have it enabled and press the red button all I get is 100 (0) in the top left corner of the screen with the time on the top right, would I be right in thinking that the uk does not have this teletext support as we opted for mheg-5 or do we have both systems?
Also, is there any support for the dbv subtitle system used here?
I wish I could assign a task image to sub folder...
meaning:
I created a sub folder called Videos that will contain all tasks related to videos and same for music... I then wanted to have each of these sub folders to have it's own task image...
Not sure if this is the right forum, but thought I'd ask here first. I'm trying to get comskip and comclean working to automatically take out commercials off of the recordings from gbpvr.
Comskip seems to work fine, but comclean (and I suppose by extension mgptx), have problems cutting out any commercials after the first one. What will typically happen is that the resulting cleaned mpg file from comclean will have the first commercial removed fine, but at the second commercial boundary, the mpg will just go black for several minutes and then the picture will come back at some point later on in the show.
I'm sure that comskip is generating the necessary information because I've had it generate output for VideoRedo and Cuttermaran and used the output files to successfully delete all commercials with both products. And I've compared the cut points for those to the .txt file and they look fine.
I'd really like to utilize comclean because of the lower overhead and ease of driving it. I'm using the latest version from http://mk.kaashoek.com/gbpvr.
Well, I finally found the problem and got the transcoder to start working and converting my files to xvid!!!!!! (only took 2 weeks, and it was a simple typo in the config file). Now my problem is that I can't see the video on the files, I downloaded the xvid codec, but it won't work right. I used the "gspot" codec finder and it shows the files as "xvid" and it shows I have compatible codecs, but they still won't play. VLC media player is the only thing I have that will show audio AND video, everything else is just audio......I want these to work with windows media player though, any help????
I've just rebuilt the gbpvr machine after it started producing 0kb recordings consistently. Before this it was up and running fine(on 95.14) but one night just stopped for no real reason.....anyhow, I decided to have a clear out so did a clean install of xp sp2.
GBPVR(95.16) now reinstalled, 2x nova-t's, latest cyberlink 5.0.1307 mux.I've used the latest hauppauge drivers(21).WinTV2000 not installed
I'm using xmltv for my epg data, i've set up my capture sources in config, however, when i click "map digital channels to epg" it runs the scan and now finds no channels. The first time i ran it it found a few channels and some with corrupted names but now finds nothing. It indicates strength as 0, although reading the config logs it seems to have other values for strength.
I know the aerial is good, my STB picks up a flawless signal on all channels.
Can anyone offer any advice?....My Wife Approval Factor is through the floor at the moment!!!
I've attatched the config and the config-native logs for your perusal...
Very often the PVR350 will not start (code 10). On the net I have found out that the TV-out on the PVR350 and the Albatron FX5200 are conflicting.
This seems to be true, as the PVR350 starts if I disable the FX5200 driver.
However, it is possible to have the FX5200 driver running if the resolution on the TV-out is not higher than 640X480 and the HW acceleration is set to none.
As it is now I see two ways to solve the problem:
1 - To disable the TV-out on the PVR350. Does someone know how to do that?
2 - Buy a new video card. tompa recommended me a 6600GT. Is that the right one for GBPVR?
I am willing to make changes in my HW configuration to giver GBPVR the prefect conditions. Only the PVR350 I would be sorry to skip - as it was an expensive part.
Which HW configuration would be perfect for GBPVR?
ive reformated my pc and installed a fresh version of GB pvr just to get rid of this: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". and i still get this error message. can anyone help. i did restore my settings so maybe thats what casued it to come up back again. i wouldnt mind restoring back the setting manually but id hate to loose my tv tuning. does anyone know either how to solve this problem or where the tv channels data is stored?
when I schedual two back to back recording with the default settings the 1st recording always fails. I fiarly confidant ite becouse of the min or two overlap at the end.
problem is this does not come up in the conflicts section.
When looking at the weather forecasts, some cities creates an error when I scroll down to the five day forecast (Copenhagen is one of them). I get an error message:
"Error: Key cannot be null. Parameter name: key"
When I watch TV via the MVP I have no other choice than restarting the MVP box.
The error comes only for some cities, and not if I run the "blue" skin. I can reproduce the error on another PC.
I am running GB-PVR v0.94.13, sadly v0.95.16 does not run with the blueMCE2 skin.
this one's really got me stumped. i know my wireless works, because i'm typing this post on a laptop hardwired to the same ethernet bridge that the mvp is on. the problem is that the mvp just doesn't get an ip address, and thus doesn't load anything. but ONLY when it's on the wireless.
server: athlon64 3000+, windows 2000 pro, 1.5gb ram, 300gb hdd. no firewall junk, and i've crippled norton antivirus as much as i can without completely uninstalling it. right now i'm just trying to get this working w/ the hauppage frontend first, like it says in the wiki. i've got some other problems with gbpvr i need to fix before i can start using that, but that's another post...
server pc is wired directly (100mb) to netgear WGR614 v3 (54g + 4-port 10/100 switch) router, which is the dhcp server for the lan.
mvp is revision d3a
mvp is connected to netgear me101 wireless B ethernet bridge via crossover cable. i also tried putting a hub in between the bridge and the mvp, but nothing changed (didn't expect it to).
in order to test the wireless bridge functionality, i pulled the x-over cable from the back of the mvp, plugged it into the laptop, and it worked immediately.
right now my mvp doesn't even get an IP address when connected via wireless. that is, i don't see it in the dhcp clients list on the router, but i can see the laptop and all other PCs on the lan. the mvp just sits there on the blue screen, flashing "contacting DHCP server... contacting mediamvp bootserver..." i left it overnight and nothing changed. have tried two different x-over cables, many plain ethernet cables both between hub and bridge and mvp (mvp does not link directly to bridge without an x-over, which is proper operation for a bridge)...
now if i put a x-over cable between the mvp and the router, the mvp works and i can use the hauppage frontend just fine. but if i disconnect that xover and put the mvp back in the other room where my wireless bridge is, it doesn't get past the initial poweron blue screen.
