  MIssing files and failed playback
Posted by: Johnny30 - 2005-12-13, 06:32 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I currently have several files that have been recorded that do not appear in the Recordings folder. Also some of my recently recorded programs have a file saved on my hard drive which plays in Windows Media Player, but will not play through gbpvr. Additionally I can view and see my missing files if I look under the Video dicrectory but again they will not play through gbpvr. When they begin the screen is black and the time-line says the recording is only 10 seconds long.

1) How do I get gbpvr to reconize all of the recorded programs?

2) How do I get the files it can find to play?

I just upgraded to the newest version, and that did not fix the problem. Also all of the files are in the correct spot, meaning I may have 7 actual recordings on my hard drive but gbpvr only displays 3. Thanks in advance

Johnny

Can't download the Hauppauge Tweak Tool
Posted by: rwliv - 2005-12-13, 06:21 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Hi, I'm new to the forum and i've been looking around and i saw some stuff about the hauppauge tweak tool, so i went to download it to try it out.

I've tried about fifty times to download it from http://www.cask-of-amontillado.com/pvr_tweak.html but it will get part way done and then say it's completed when it's not and its an invalid or corrupted file.

So i was wondering if there is another place to download it from, or if there isn't if someone could email it to me at rwliv@hotmail.com

any help in this matter would be appreciated

Thanks all for the great forum

  Recording question
Posted by: fiteclub - 2005-12-13, 05:28 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I am using a VCR connected to the composite input of my hauppauge capture card to copy video tape material to hard drive and eventually to DVD. Is there a way to start recording with using the tedious manual record feature which requires a start time and end time input? I would ideally like to be able to press one button to start the recording and maybe increment record time by pressing again to increase say by 15 or 30 min increments. The file name could be based on date and time.

  # + Skip?
Posted by: capone - 2005-12-13, 03:41 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

I did some searching, and it said pressing the number and skip would skip ahead that many minutes. I can't seem to get that to work. Am I wrong in how to do that? I was trying inside a video file I was watching.

  XRecord, Videos, xvidcore.dll not found
Posted by: BobAtTorrey - 2005-12-13, 03:34 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

Ignore the post below. I just found some discussion of this problem in this thread:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...idcore.dll

(I'm not sure why my previous searches didn't find it.)
______________________________________________

I've just, for the first time, tried to play a video and get an error that "...xvidcore.dll was not found."
I'm running GBPVR 95.16, and the latest XRecord off the Wiki.
I go to Recordings, then Videos. It shows my .avi files. When I select and try to play one I get a pop-up window titled "ffmpeg.exe Unable to Locate Component", and the text message says ".... xvidcore.dll was not found".
I've searched the forum and found no references to xvidcore.dll
Also, while the error window says ffmpeg.exe, I've searched my entire hard drive and don't find ffmpeg.exe. And in case it's relevant (and I have no idea whether it is) I have DivX Player installed on my system.
What is happening, and how can I fix it?
Many thanks.

Helloy Guys !

I wanna ask you, what you think about the following skin. It's my first skin ever and if someone has something to make better (colors of Buttons!!!) then tell me please.

Excuse the mixing of two languages, but i am not far enough proceeded to translate all into my language.

The Skin is for REAL german PAL-Resolutions (1:1 @ 768 x 576 Pixel). I think any other Resolution should be makeable ;-)

I would thank you all, for your help =)

EDIT:

This Skin is based on SUB's original BLUE-Skin! It's not my only work ;-)

  Huge recordings filesize
Posted by: stu8080 - 2005-12-12, 11:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I have recently noticed that my filesizes are currently about 20-50GB in size and have no idea what would be causing this, on playback i get just black screen and a time error where it shows as only 12secs and wont allow skipping?

My recordings are of Medium quality on a PVR-350, i had adjusted the max bitrate to equal High settings (because i couldnt see how to set High as default quality) but returned this max value back to default.

I have added a PVR-150 MCE as second capture device but dont use this yet as i need a 4 way TV Aeriel booster to get the extra terrestrial input.
This caused me problems with remote where MCE edition card prevents the system seeing the 350's remote input (i use a batch file i found that uses MS DevCon app to disable both cards, restart 350, restart IR.exe and then restart 150) see http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthread....stcount=27

I have installed the Video Archiver plugin to use VA Panel mainly with new Contour skin.

I know this is a very vague problem and very likely most of above are irrelevant but they are the only significant things i have changed.
If anyone wants a log please let me know which one and i will post it

Sorry for the essay, thanks in advance, Stu
