  Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT
Posted by: c4pete - 2005-12-14, 12:27 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

Hi,

I'm planning a media pc build soon, and just looking at different components - spotted the Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT is going to be available very soon in the uk - has anyone had any experience with the Terratec Cinergy cards and gbpvr?

Cheers,
Pete.

cheap PCMCIA or USB TV-tuner with CC
Posted by: Lookingfor - 2005-12-14, 09:15 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (11)

Could you help me to choose a cheap PCMCIA or USB TV-tuner that supports CLOSED CAPTIONS, please? (AverTV CardBus supports CC, but it is 100$ and, surprisingly enough, it is not available in my town)

Thanks in advance

Posted by: writebac - 2005-12-14, 08:54 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I get the following error anytime I try and run an AVI on my MVP. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this problem.

ffmpeg.exe - Unable to locate componet

This application has failed to start because xvidcore.dll was not found. reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Compatibility question Dishnetwork / win tv
Posted by: wireman - 2005-12-14, 07:18 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I was planning to use the win TV PVR-150 with my Disnetwork receivers but I just received my e-mail from Hauppauge and they said.
“we currently do not support those receivers using our irblaster. I have added them to the list of boxes we need to get codes for so they will hopefully make a future update“. any suggestions on what I should do? Totally new to all of this.

Thank you

Wireman

  update/change channel in manual recording
Posted by: stefan - 2005-12-14, 07:05 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Not sure this is a bug, I might have done something wrong, but I'll report it anyway =)

Since I just moved, I don't have an internet connection as yet, so no EPG for now. Manual recordings it is, then.

I did a manual recording, recurring Monday through Friday. After that I realized I had entered the wrong channel, so I went into "Pending", and clicked each of these recordings (I have to click each and every one of these, right?). Chose 'Update'. Changed the channel to the one that I really wanted to record.

Now, if I look in the 'Pending' list, it looks like the recordings are about to record on the correct channel. But when the actual recording has been made, it's from the original channel! Either I did a major mess of things, or there is a bug =)

I assume people don't go about and do this particular thing too often, so it might not be an extensively tested part of the system Rolleyes

  Ability to increase font sizes
Posted by: writebac - 2005-12-14, 06:52 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

I think it would be nice to be able to change the font size of the text displayed on my mvp. When Im sitting at my computer, there is no problem seeing the text, but when I am 10' away from my television hooked up to a MVP the story is quite different. The text can be very difficult to read.
I have no clue how this could be added.
Thanks for giving us the forumn to at least discuss it.

  EPG Not Updating
Posted by: Stuartt - 2005-12-14, 06:02 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

The info from Zap2It stops on Thursday the 15th at around 6:30 p.m.

My Zap2It subscription is good through the end of January. I did a manual update and it did not increase the the number of days covered by the TV guide.

Anyone else have this problem ? Any ideas on correcting it ?

I'm using the new 95.16 release.

  NVidia 6600GT Component out
Posted by: ddrawley - 2005-12-14, 01:34 AM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

Just a word of caution for NVidia 6x00 users.
The 81.95 drivers do not work with component out.
The 78.01 drivers work fine.
It took me a while to sort out but I confirmed this with other forums.

Folders with recordings not listed in "ready"
Posted by: anedjf - 2005-12-14, 12:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I have several folders in the "ready" recordings folder, but not all of them show up when I go to view the ready recordings section in either MVP or PC interface. I assume they got dropped out of the MDB somewhere along the line of upgrades.

Is there a way to rebuild the MDB, or get these files into the list?

Hopefullly, I'm being clear.

thanks,
anedjf

  Music Library

Is there any way to have the music library display the file name and not the mp3 ID tag?

Thanks!
