I am currently using the DVR-MS BDA multiplexer with my Avermedia A180 HDTV card. Unfortunately I am having problems such as skipping and freezing which I believe may be related to the BDA multiplexer. Which one has worked the best for you and where can I get it? Any advice appreciated, thanks
Edit: Just another thing I thought about, I am currently using the InterVideo DVD navigator for my DVD function on GB-PVR. However the navigation does not function as I'd wish (I cannot change chapters so I have to flip through the movie minute by minute to get to a location.) I'd also like to be able to have the time/chapter appear on the screen if I'd wish. Is there a way to do this, and any advice (ini files/DVD software/etc) to use for this? thanks again
Hello everyone I have been trying to get avi-divx files that I have d-loaded to play on my MVP(with GBPVR) since forever, it was either the video was ahead of the sound or wouldn't work at all "but everything played fine through the Hauppauge software", Now I have upgraded to the latest release of GBPVR and my avi-divx files do play and the sound is in-sync but now my video quality is extremely blocky and the screen seems to be "blown-up" "enlarged" so that for instance on CSI you can barely see the CBS symbol in the corner. That is the problem that I am having and I have read till my eyes hurt. I have been working on trying to fix this for about 5 days or so and have run into a dead end. I have tried messing with the config.xml file on
"<MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLinePAL>-y -i "{SOURCE_FILE}" -b 2400 -s 352x288 -vcodec mpeg2video "{DEST_FILE}"</MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLinePAL>
<MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLineNTSC>-y -i "{SOURCE_FILE}" -b 2400 -s 352x240 -codecmpegvideo "{DEST_FILE}"</MVPFFmpegTranscodeCmdLineNTSC>" changed it to that and that didn't work, if anyone has any solutions or suggestions I would be greatly appreciative thanks for any help.

So i just updated my EPG using Zap2it, and befor this everything was working perfectly. But now, channels 18 and 28 are missing from the TV guide. They are shown in the Capture Device settings and in the channels section of Config, but in the TVguide of GBPVR, the entire channel space is missing.
Any ideas?

I updated my system from 93.10 to 95.16 today and installed the newest software encoder too (v0.21). System records shows fine but when I go into recordings and playback I can press ^Q to pause and ^B to bring up info. If I try to FF/RR/Skip/Play key commands the recording stops. I had this issue when I tried 94.13 so I went back to 93.10 (works perfect in this version). Skip Control settings are FF=60sec/RR=30sec/Manual=sec in GBPVR config. I can't even use the buttons on the screen either. Videos work fine in external players. Any ideas?
I just upgraded from v94.?? to 95.16, and am having trouble with transcoding to .WMV format. The operation fails and I get the attached debug window. The log simply says the transcode failed.
Ive been trying to change a few of the options for FFMPEG transcoding for the MVP in the config.xml file. It didnt seem to make any difference.
Even though I can see in the config application, its ticked to use FFMPEG for transcode under MVP playback, is there any way of seeing in a log file that it is actually using FFMPEG? I notice there are still log files being created for trans2mvp.exe
I recently upgraded to 95.16 because on an older version I tried to turn the web admin on, hit the ok button, and it crashed out. When I went to run the program again, it said all my settings were gone. In fact, everything was blown away... had to set up everything over. Becaues of this I decided just to wipe everything clean and go with 95.16...
But I had a couple of ongoing seasons which I wanted to keep. I found an older version of the DB someplace, for which I was able to make a Java program that pulled all the relevalent info from the DB and created an xml file of the format that matches the "export recordings" button..
When I run it, it says none of the programs were added.. Either they were there, or the movie file wasn't in the place that it said any longer.. (it was...)
Here's the error from the config.log.txt file...
12/10/2005 4:50:37 PM.171 ERROR [7] Failed to ImportRecordings(): String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
12/10/2005 4:50:37 PM.187 ERROR [7] at System.DateTime.ParseExact(String s, String[] formats, IFormatProvider provider, DateTimeStyles style)

It seemed to have a problem with the DateTime information... and yet, it's exactly what the external recordings button exported...
Attached is the xml file I used to try and import. All the filenames match out exactly. Everything was pulled from an older copy of the DB. But that shouldn't even matter, as the information is correct, doens't matter where it came from.
I have tried a few different DVDs and for some reason, dvd2mpeg converts the first video file/stream it sees, which happens to usually be the studio intro or something. Is there a way for me to select what it needs to record?
This plugin worked perfectly the first time to make the mpeg file. Now I just need it to use the right source files.
BTW, how can I tell what version of VA I have compared to the one posted in the wiki?
