I'd appreciate it if some kind soul could look over the included C# source and tell me if I'm doing anything drastically wrong.
It's my SuDoku plugin and it works fine on my development machine and also my PVR when sitting at the PC. If I try it on my MVP (connected to my PVR) I get a reboot of the MVP sometimes within only one or two key presses on the remote, after starting the game. Usually a cursor/arrow key press but sometimes a number key press.
I started this with 0.94.x and now 0.95.x has new async. key handling for the MVP. Should I be processing the keys differently?
I've put a Logger in to try to trace just when it happens but I can't see anything. Any ideas? It's not exactly the most important use for a plugin but it's beginning to bug me that I can't solve it. My MVP behaves fine with all the native GB-PVR stuff.
I seem to be having an issue with video playback when it comes to the OSD bar and commercial skip. When I pause the video to bring up the OSD, the status bar doesn't have the correct information. When I bring it up on the PC, the bar is correct.
On PC:
- Show duration and bar show 1 hour.
- Arrow under bar is in correct place relative to what has been watched.
- comskip markings are in correct place.
On MVP:
- Show duration shows 7.5 hours. ???
- Arrow is always in same place, 3/4 of the way or so down the bar. It constantly says I have wacthed 6.5 hours.
- Comskip markings are squashed at beginning of bar. Probably correct relative to the 7 hours duration it thinks the show is.
- Since it thinks duration if 7 hours and progress indicator is stuck at 3/4 through video, commercial advance never occurs.
Ant tips on what I forgot to configure?
Thanks,
Greg
BTW, is there a way to bring up the OSD on the MVP at any time?
I know you're busy with the new release and new hardware (sounds like Christmas came early!) but if you get a chance can you take a look at this? No big hurrry...

How do I get this to work with my skins.
I have added the few new lines to the tvguide skin.xml that sub added to Blue.
(It's probably so simple that I am overlooking it.)
has anyone had any luck with this? ive been able to capture a frame with every other file format, but i really really really need to be able to capture a frame (to jpeg, bmp, tiff whatever) from a mpeg2 file. ive searched thecodeproject.com and none of the guides there can handled mpeg2, ive googled until my eyes have bleed and had no joy.
the best i have done is found a program called snatchit, which does want i want by its shareware, and you have to pay US$30 for it, which is a bloody rip off.
anyone know if you can capture a frame from the command line with ffmpeg or virtual dub (any version/modification), or anyone know any free programs that can do this from the command line. i would prefer to do it via code, but the command line will do.
I got the 500 dual-tuner card without a remote or anything, and I've been fine up until now because I've been working/tweaking GBPVR, but now I'm needing a remote. I can't watch some ripped DVD's because they stop at the main menu, and I can't leave the "remember the keyboard shortcuts" solution for the wife. She's getting pissed at not being able to watch some movies
I've been eyeing the Harmony remotes, but there's nothing that tells me if it'll "work" with my setup. Is there some sort of signal receiver that plugs into the back of your PC, or how exactly do the Harmony remotes interface with a PC?
Sorry if this seems remedial, but I haven't been able to find anything definitive on Logitech's site regarding this.
I'm also not locked into the Harmony remotes, I've set up OmniRemote to work with my PDA, and the Sony remotes seem to be utilizing something similar, if not EXACTLY the same software. How would I go about setting up something like that to work with my PC and its keyboard/mouse (thus far) setup to be more Wife-friendly?
On the plus side, our DVD player just took a crap, so she's looking at any money invested into making this work (such as for a nicer/more intuitive interface) as money we'd have spent on replacing the DVD player, so I've got more latitude on solutions.
Now supports the XSearch (FindFast) plugin.
Now includes visualizations on the Music Library screen as well as the main menu.
Other changes include 100% foreground transparency, and a better selected button.
As always, feedback welcome.
