I tried playing it through my video library and it has an error that it can't play this type of file. I close gbpvr and play through windvd no prob. So i know that gbpvr is most likely playing it with windows media play or something like that. I then installed a specific mpeg2 codec gbpvr still won't play. Hmmm. Most likely I screwed something up as always, I was just wondering if anyone could help. I searched but couldn't find anything specific. Normally I would play it through windvd and not even worry about it but when I try to go full screen it starts to roll, So i'd like to get it to play through gbpvr.
My firts experience with GB-PVR has been great except for one irritating problem. When I pause live TV or a recording I get an error that kicks me out to the main menu. Everything else works great. Any ideas? GBPVR.exe.log file as below:

I want to backup my SETTINGS ONLY for gbpvr because of the increased virus activity today. The viruses screwed up my pc system causing config.exe to be corrupt. Is there any way to backup the settings and recording settings so that I can reinstall gbpvr with all my previous settings?
[edit2] hang on, i think it was because i was recording a show in the dvb card at the same time as it appears to be working now - sorry!
Hi
I have been running 95.14 for a week without problems (nice one sub).
I was messing about trying to work out why the teletext doesn;t work so i decided to re-tune the nova-t. Unfortunately, I cannot get it to find any channels.
I have tried all combinations of setting BDAScanType to 1 AND 2 (it was one on previous release) and BDAUsePsiParser to true and false.
Still not channels found.
[edit] it does appear to find channels i.e it finds channels with decent quality and strength values but reports no channels found.
This problem just cropped up this weekend - when I play my home videos from my Canon camera, they appear on my MVP units with a white text overlay saying "PICvideo" at the top of the screen and "www.jpg.com" at the bottom. The sound and picture are also out of sync (video too fast).
Same thing happens on all my home videos, old and new, but not on TV recordings GBPVR has made.
However these videos play fine on the PC (either directly or via GBPVR on the PC).
The website mentioned seems to belong to Pegasus Imaging, a maker of video codecs, so may be it is a licencing issue?
Do you have a plugin pack? I have looked for all of the list 52 plugins supported under the skin and have found only a few.
Bugs found:
Movie plugin: Exit button doesn't work from movie plot review. Need to use ESC key.
OSD Arrow up and down (blue/yellow arrows buttons): doesn't work anywhere.
Weather plugin: see a "-" under the degree sign.
Search guide: can't backout of it without using ESC key. Should be a main menu button.
Music player also needs a backout/main menu option.
Generally, the stuff seems pretty slow to respond. Button click takes a couple of seconds to show any action). System I am using is a Dual p3 550mhz, with 768 ram. Ti4600 vid card, XP Pro fully patched, fresh install, ATI theatre 550 tuner.
I realize that these are not all your plugins, but they are the 'default' plugins (with the exception of Theatre and Weather plugins), and would be nice if they all worked 'right'.
Great job on the skin. Love it works alot better than the older versions.(For me at least).
Just got my GBPVR working well and very happy and now setting about recovering 110Gb of video after a brief moment of amnesia that win2K experienced during a re-install
Anyway, before the sad day, now known as "Total Loss" i was running XP and even after the reinstall of windows 2000, then windows 2000 again then back to XP, i could not get the web interface to run
I would get the message in red "error in GBPVR application"
Firewalls were off, i tried sharing the folder even to try and eliminate the security issue.
So am i missing sometihng obvious here as I've tried four installs on two different OS's
ok, i have this little problem (see attached file):
number 1: how can i add a little more spacing between the cyan text and the white one?
number 2: how can i change the width of the white rounded rectangle and the position and shape of the arrows?
Hi there. I just bought my MVP today at RadioShack for $40! I have been lurking around here for a while. I have some questions. Before I get into the questsions here is my setup:
ASUS P4G8X Deluxe mobo
P4 2.53GHz CPU (512 MB cache)
1 GB RAM
WinXP Pro
Lite On DVD Drive
120GB PATA HHD
nVidia 6800GT with 256MB
I am currently using the Svideo out on the video card to go to my 32" SDTV.
What I want to do is use my MVP to display video (ripped DVDs, etc), music and pictures.
My questions are ...
1 – Do I NEED a capture device to use GBPVR? This isn’t in my current system, but it is part of the future plan.
2 – To use GBPVR as my server, I need to install it on my PC and have it running so that I can use my MVP to view the files, right? Is there an easy way (a batch file in startup?) that could start whatever needs to start?
3 – Are there any special setups in the MVP software to allow GBPVR to be the backend?
4 – Are there any free and simple programs that will convert VOBs to MPEG 2 files so I can play them on the MVP?
I am sure there are some questions I haven’t thought of, but I will be sure to ask.
