I've been having a problem with the Resume feature since I upgraded to 095.16. All but one time that I tried to resume a recording (I tried w/ different recordings), it went ahead and Restarted. This is while watching through the MVP.

Sub, I understand that the delete via recycle bin V0.9xx was a little problematic. Prehaps it would be enough to prompt for a confirm.

Deleteing is a little too easy in V0.94xx.

I don't know if this sort of thing has been requested before.

- when on the TV guide page: when I choose 'watch program'; instead of running the gb-pvr tv viewing software a .bat specific for that station is called to run. I could then have individual .bat files pointing to whatever commandline driven viewing app I choose. This could be setup by selecting another drop down box in the config for each channel that the epg had detected - although as a non-programmer this sort of stuff may be more difficult than I think ...

Reason being is I'd like to get a small program called digital watch going. It has a the ability to choose codecs for individual stations and a 'rolling' timeshift buffer - something that allows my nvidia decoders to work (they don't like reconnecting with the current 'block' timeshift set-up). I gather these features are not going to be put into gb-pvr, so this request would provide a work around.

Attempting to get EPG to download Via Hauppauge Nova-T and Twinhan DVBB-Sat.

Found that the Nova-T downloads the EPG for some channels but not all. Download from BBC3, 4 among others shows no info in EPG

Using the Twinhan card on Astra 19degrees gets no EPG info for any channels.


I have increased the "listening time" to 360seconds per transponder to see if the default 120seconds was insufficiently long but this did not help.

Are there further settings I can try and adjust.

GBPVR is v 95.16.

I just configured a new system with XP Pro and all the Microsoft updates.

Installing gbpvr, I get "error 1935" regarding wmppia. Nothing found on that in this forum.

It would be nice if there was a button to disable the comskip processing within gbpvr when you're playing back a show. Occasionally comskip makes a royal mess of detecting commercials, to the point where I'll manually go in and delete the comskip index file, so I can watch the show normally.

Is there already a hidden option like this?

I just acquired a 2nd WinTV-PVR 150 tuner (actually the second one is the MCE venison, but by all accounts it is driven the same on Windows XP as the non-MCE version).

I ran the CONFIG application and added it as a second capture source, adding it as Capture Card Type of Hauppauge PVR150 and a Board Number of Capture Device #2.

After saving the config (which automatically restarts the recording service) I launched GB-PVR to test the config. I went to the TV Guide and select one channel to Quick Rec. Once that was started I tried to do the same for a second channel, but I got a "Conflict" message indicating that I would either have to stop my current recording or cancel the new recording.

Similarly, when I tried to use Live TV while the recording was going, I got the same conflict message.

I also tried changing the Capture Card Type to Hauppauge PVR150MCE since this second card is actually the MCE version. No luck here either.

I know that both cards work because I can go into Device manager and disable each of them alternately and still watch TV (either via GB-PVR or the WinTV application), and I am certain of which card is in use by simply unplugging the coax cable and seeing the snowy screen .. so, this is proof positive that each of the cards work.

NOTE: I am not using the MCE drivers since I have standard WindowsXP Pro as my OS, not WindowsXP MCE.

Also, the second card (the MCE edition) has an FM tuner. I haven't installed any drivers for it as I don't want to use the MCE drivers. Any idea how to get a driver for the WinTV 150MCE's FM tuner on a standard WindowsXP OS?

I installed 95.16 and have noticed that the shows I recorded last night were 6-12 min longer in the time stamp. If I watch them thru external players they show the correct times. I have my pre and post padding set at 2 min each. For example, I recorded a hour show last night and when I play it thru GBPVR it shows 1 hour 15 min. But if I watch it thru ext player it shows 1 hour 4 min like it's suppose to. Anyone else experienced this?
