I just installed and switch to the XMEDIA-DX skin. I have 3 menus in my Main Menu. One of them (TV/DVR) has 7 active items within it. The 7th one will not display within the xmedia skin (it does in the Blue and Fat Blue skins).
Is there a limit on how many items you will display on a screen? If so, is there a way for me to configure this? If there isn't a limit, any ideas what's going on here?
Also, so that a get better vsibility on my 27" TV screen, how much higher (how many points) can I increase each of teh FONT sizes in the various skin.xml files without causing issues where overlaps or "off the screen" issues start to occur.
I can't get GB-PVR to wake my machine from sleep. I am using S3 Suspend-to-RAM for sleep mode.
I did some testing with windows scheduled tasks and they wake my machine from sleep without problem.
My specs:
GB-PVR 9514 from 3 Dec 05
Windows XP SP2 all latest drivers and patches
Abit nForce2 mobo with latest BIOS and chipset drivers
Hauppauge PVR500MCE
Twinhan VP1020
768MB DDR400
WD 200 Gb HDD
I have noticed that upon starting up GB-PVR or GB-PVR MediaMVP Server that the initialization of the MyMusic plugin is logging errors to gbpvr.exe.log.
I never saw a problem in the PC version of GB-PVR, but I have noticed that intermittently "MyMusic" doesn't show as a menu selection on the MediaMVP display screen, so I decided to look at the log.
I should point out that the previous log files also contain these error strings, even though everything appeared to have been working correctly in both environments (PC and MediaMVP) at the time these previous log files were generated.
Any ideas as to why the errors are occurring and how to rectify the problem?
(BTW ... I am using the "Flat Blue - High Visibility" skin ... larger fonts for viewing on a smaller TV screen ... and it does contain an OnScreenKeyboard subfolder with 12 files within it, including skin.xml, BUT there is no OnScreenKeyboard.xml to be found anywhere in the directory structure of gbpvr).
Here is the log segment containing the errors:

Hi
Just reinstalled XP (Mediacenter but I cant use MCE with my EPIA SP13000) and installed GBPVR again.
After that Deamon Tool and PowerDVD and set up GBPVR with PowerDVD codec.
Now, all avi files can be played, and when i select and *.iso file, is is getting mounted with Deamon Tool, but GBPVR tells:
Error: The system cannot find the file specified
My C and D is a harddrive. E is a DVD drive and F is set up for Deamon Tool as device 0.
I know how to set it up, couse my last installation had this working.
Anyone knows how to correct this?
is there a digital card that will record the digital channels on cable (usa)
is there a card that can use a cable card
(or is there anything that is coming out soon )
I do have some problems with that new version (95.14).
First of all, my config didn't tune the DVB-T channels correctly,i run several scans : sometimes I had "no channels found", some times the channels were named "UnknownX" where X was a number from 1 to 6, and for each transponder there were always the same six channels found... To correct this, I had to set BDAUsePsiParser tag to "false", that works now, i can watch the channels in the "map digital channels to EPG channels" config panel.
But I still can't watch LiveTv or Tv Guide, it says "No channels have been set up..." but in fact, all the channels are set up, the xmltv file is correct, in the channels tab in config, all the channels are set as favourite and have unique number.
I post there all the files that I think might help you, thank you for looking at this when you have a moment.
I scheduled a recording to run from 7:00am-7:30am using the gbpvr TV Guide, with 2 minutes of padding at the beginning and end. However, when it was done, the recording was only 10:51 in length. Here is an excerpt of the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log:

It looks to me as if the log shows that the recording was successful, even though it wasn't.
There was plenty of free space on the drive (over 18 gigs).
My computer's clock is and was correct. I checked the log from my clock synchronising program, and it shows a correction of .939 seconds about 20 minutes before the recording started.
Can anybody think of a reason why this recording came-up short? If I need to post any more log entries, let me know.
I was using gbpvr v0.95.11. I just now found out about the update to v0.95.14.

From time to time the cable provider shifts the programs a little. Channels switch places or new ones get added. Every time I spend 1-2 hours to fix GB-pvr's tuning. With the tuning assistant already able to tune in to stations, why not have it generate the channel list for GB-pvr as well?
The internal channel numbers of GB-pvr often doesn't correspond with the cable providers channels so why not supply the frequencies for easy reference? or even better allow entering the frequency instead of the channel number.
