  Corrupt time stamps in recordings
Posted by: rahrens - 2005-12-02, 03:58 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Usually a 1 hour recording is about 1.7gb. Sometimes I get a file that shows a shorter time length than the file size would suggest. For example, a 1.7gb one hour recording displays a 36 minute length. I believe this is a driver problem with my PVR 150 and I plan to update the driver. The files I have that already recorded that are corrupt can't be edited with my dvd recording software. Is there any way to correct the time stamp error so the file can be edited?

How to increase volume on tuner?
Posted by: scottmso - 2005-12-02, 02:56 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

The sound on my new A180 card is not loud at all - I can hardly hear it at regular volume and I can't turn it up as loud as I'd like. I don't know what causes it, how can I get it louder? thanks

Default Blue Skin v0.95.11 Button Overlap...
Posted by: Pilot - 2005-12-02, 01:38 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (5)

Can any of you wise skin masters point me in the right direction for changing the default blue skin so that the buttons in the detail view of Recordings do not overlap? For example, when you go into Recordings, select a recording, and then get the options of Play, Delete, Exit, etc., those respective buttons overlap each other by about 2 pixels, so that when you highlight a button, the bottom border does not show because it is overlapped by the button below it.

The skin I use for my GBPVR system is simply a slightly modified version of the default blue skin (okay, the TV Guide is rather heavily modified). I've been able to move some buttons around for most of the plugins with previous versions of GBPVR, but can't seem to figure out the overlap issue with this new version. I don't see anything obvious.

Thanks for any pointers or tips.

  Video Archiver background gone?
Posted by: dab - 2005-12-02, 01:12 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (5)

The background behind the text in Video Archiver is no longer black. The whole screen except for the text shows the standard Blue skin background. This makes reading it a little hard on the eyes. I tried reinstalling and no luck.

How do I get the black back??

Thanks.

GB-PVR and WinTV2000 on the same machine, is this okay?
Posted by: tara_clinton - 2005-12-01, 11:40 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Thanks for taking the time to read this. It's been awhile since I've had GB-PVR on my machine. I originally had the Hauppauge software (WinTV2000) and all their updates installed on my machine before I installed GB-PVR. My card in teh pvr-350. Anyway, I was having trouble recording shows/livetv, especially long programs, like sporting events that were 3.5 hours long. I tried various recordings in both GB-PVR and WinTV2000 and both seemed to produce video that was out-of-sync with the audio, etc. I downloaded PVAStrumento, ran it, didn't work. Same problem with VHS tape I converted to .mpeg.

Someone here suggested that maybe this was a driver problem. Since I'm pretty much clueless, I need to know a few things about installing GB-PVR before I actually do. I have a fresh install of WinXP Pro with all the updates, including .NET Framework 2.0 (but still also have versions 1.1 and a 1.1 hotfix). I just downloaded the latest release, GBPVR09511.msi.

So, to my questions:

1) Stupid question alert! I need to install all the drivers from Hauppauge, but should avoid the WinTV2000 & other related apps, correct? In other words, GB-PVR doesn't come with the necessary drivers for my pvr-350, right?

2) I have other apps like Winamp, InstantCopy, Nero 6, etc. and I'm wondering if maybe there are any known conflicts b/w these apps and their filters and the GB-PVR filters (I'm assuming GB-PVR comes with some of its own filters)?

Sorry if these questions have been asked before. I found the installation manual on the Wiki and have a printout of replies to my first forum post, but can't find anything in the forums (I've searched) regarding this.

  XGuide and XRecord skinning problems
Posted by: tieke - 2005-12-01, 11:35 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (13)

Hi jorm,

I've just been skinning for the latest update, and have run into a couple of problems - you probably already know about it, but in XGuide, all the programs except selected and scheduled ones show up as white, no matter what I set the skin-schedule or skin-horiz colours to be.

In xrecord, (and I'm not sure whether it was with your latest release or sub's) but in list mode, I usually don't have a surround for non-selected items, but it doesn't matter whether I edit out the surround in the skin or specify a background colour/transparent one, I can't get rid of the black rounded rectangles surrounding the non-selected programs.

While I'm at it, would it be possible for you to make the position of the list-view "status" label configurable in your next release?

thanks,

tieke

exits on every channel change with usb-uirt
Posted by: nickbobo - 2005-12-01, 10:23 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

I just put the usb-uirt on my pvr and when I change the channel it exits to the gbpvr menu, I can press OK after that and it will go to the show, I installed the usb-uirt drivers and told gbpvr to use the usb-uirt as the channel changer, I have a Elitegroup 741GX-M 1.8ghz Amd Athlon running win xp and a WinTV-PVR-350, 1Gb DDR ram.....

thanks

Only when in a windowed screen and not fitting the full monitor. I have a Dell 17" LCD. Are there any setting on my monitor that will help with this?

Thanks

Flat Blue High Visibility Skin Updated to 95.11
Posted by: tieke - 2005-12-01, 09:29 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (1)

I have done an update to the flat blue high vis skin for those of you who have upgraded to the latest GB-PVR version. There are still a couple of minor issues (for instance xguide has gone a bit strange, and I can't get rid of the black box around xrecord list items), but I think I have duplicated all of sub's updates.

For now I have just uploaded the "Green Orb" icon version - I will probably put the older-style icons up after I look at final tweaks over the weekend .

cheers,

tieke
