I have the latest upgrade to gbpvr. I have noticed with a few different skins that the main menu page kinda shakes when you move up and down through the menu. It's as if the whole screen is being refereshed slow.
I don't notice it with the default blue one--i tried it on a couple others including the color collection
Iâve searched the forums but canât seem to find my particular problem using a decent system & a hardware encoder.
Iâm probably not using the correct terms so I aplogize if this was covered in another thread.
Iâm running a sapphire theatrix 550 on a 1.67 ghz athlon XP with windows xp sp2. 512mb ddr ram.
Latest drivers are installed.
The crappy cyberlink software was on there but I uninstalled it & Iâm using the mpeg codec from windvd 7.
Iâm recording shows off my tivo at high quality & while the picture is very clear & sharp, it seems like Iâm dropping frames when I record.
The CPU isnât tanking & I have everything recording to a second HD that has been defragged. It doesnât matter what quality I use.
The slight jumps in the picture make my eyes buggy. I tried playing the file through GBPVR & on another PC using cyberlink powerDVD & Iâd say it looks like maybe every 4th or 5th frame is being dropped.
Iâve cut back on the non-needed services & do not have much running at boot up either.
I woke up this morning to find my guide empty with an error message. I tried to update via the right-click on the gbpvr icon and it gave me the following error:
"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0x1060 (4192), Thread id=0xed8 (3800)"
When I attempted to update via the config app it told me my EPG source isn't set up correctly.
I went to www.labs.zap2it.com and tried to log in. It appears that the site is down. Is anyone else having similar problems?
Sub, would it be possible in the future not to completely empty the guide until it downloads the new info? I like the feature to empty it to get new descriptions, updates, etc, but the current method makes us rely on zap2it being up 100% of the time.
Problem is I can delete the registry value "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\devnz\LastVolume" but it comes back again spoiling the sound again. Is there something I can disable to stop it creating this key?
Does anyone know of a device that can take multiple RF signal inputs and combine them in to one output? ie take an input from RF sat, PVR, video, dig Terrestrial etc and put down one cable on different frequencies so that I can tune each TV to a different channel for each of the inputs.
Recently attempted install of GBPVR on new system. First install of .NET 1.1 then installl of program. Receive error shown below. Followed with install of .NET 1.1 sp1 and .NET 2.0 as well as MDAC 2.8, receiving no change in error response even after reinstall. Deleted the Nativeutilities.dll file in folder with no change in response.
Have latest drivers from Hauppauge PVR 350 installed. Only problem I see might exist is the usage of Nvidia Active Shield hardware firewall. Tried uninstalling, but still problem with GBPVR exists. Want to get this to work, but nothing I do seems to work. I am pretty sure its something with my system setup as Mediaportal also doesnt work, and insight into what I can do with troubleshooting would be great.

Just did a clean install on my machine. I'm using a Hauppage 500MCE card. I I don't seem to get any picture now in the LIve TV window. I do get picture with the Tuning Assistant though. Sound works fine. Just no picture. I've tried VMR9, VMR7 ad Overlay Manager, but it's all the same. I have installed DirectX 9c and updated to the latest NVidia graphcs driver for my video card.
I've also installed the Guardian Knot codec pack.
Any ideas?
Hey everyone, haven't been around due to lack of time recently but it is getting down to crunch time if I am to finish building this PVR before XMas :-P (I started in summer, lol)
Anyway, I have all of GB's functionality set up the way I like it and now I am trying to toss a different skin on there. However, when I change the skin to say, BlueMCE2 in config.exe GBPVR will not load.
As an experiment, I also tried the XMedia skins and they had the same result.
Frustrated, I deleted all the files under skin/BlueMCE2 and copied all of those from skins/Blue into the now empty BlueMCE2 folder. THAT worked...so I realy have no idea what is going on
My plugins:
TV Guide
Recorings
Search Guide
Live TV
DVD
Weaher
Theater
Any advice will be greatly appreciated :-D
edit: It is also worth noting that all files (including gbpvr) were downloaded 4 days ago or sooner so they all should be updated as far as they go.
