  Visual C# 2005 Express Edition
Posted by: westie314 - 2005-12-02, 02:06 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (7)

Greetings!

Does anyone know how one might use VC# Express Edition to create plugin assemblies that will work with the current version of gbpvr?

I understand that gbpvr is currently based on the .NET v1.1 framework, while VC# Express Edition creates assemblies based on .NET v2.0 as the default.

My experiments to date with the example plugins and VC# Express have failed. There must be a way to tell VC# to create assemblies based on .NET v1.1?

Thanks!

Picture looks blur/Soft after installing tuner nr 2
Posted by: casperse - 2005-12-02, 12:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

Hi Guys

I Have ben a happy GB-PVR user for some time now Big Grin

But after installing a PVR500 card with my PVR350 the picture is very blurry...
With subtitles its like seing double.

I have checked The signal (Proff Cabel Guy) and I can see that the signal connected to a TV is perfect but after recorded and shown via the TV-out on the PVR350, its blurry...I tried to play it on the PC and its very blurry so it is the capture part....

Can this be a driver issue (After installing the PVR500 drivers) or is the capture part only depending on the Hardware

what can I do to fix this...Any input Ideas....

What does happen at "Before LiveTV Play"?
Posted by: alibert - 2005-12-02, 09:39 AM - Forum: Developers - No Replies

Hi,

for the last days I have problems starting live tv with my (selfmade) dbox recording source.
If I select a programme to watch in the tv guide, the only thing that appears is the "starting timeshift tv, please wait" screen.
The recording source is actually doing the recording (the filesize is growing), but gbpvr.exe hangs up, as if it was in an endless loop, so that I have to kill the gbpvr-process.
The last log entries are:

Code:
02.12.2005 10:19:29.824    VERBOSE    [2]    RecordLiveTV: 52
02.12.2005 10:19:35.352    VERBOSE    [2]    About to play LiveTV File: E:\Matrix Revolutions_2_20051202_09251135.mpg     Channel: PREMIERE 3
02.12.2005 10:19:35.352    VERBOSE    [2]    Before LiveTV Play

If I watch the programme manually (select "record" on the programme, then select "play" on the recording), there are no problems.

So, I'm curious to know what exactly happens at "Before LiveTV Play"?

Thanks.

EDIT:

Sorry, I didn't investigate the problem enough by myself. I've had a look at the "-native"-logs, and it seems that something's going wrong with the filtergraph:

Code:

10:19:35.663    VERBOSE    Rendering graph

First, i'm going o reboot my machine now...

EDIT2:

Well, a simple reboot didn't lead to a success, even re-installing gbpvr had no effect. I have had to manually register GB-PVRParser.ax again, and it works again now.

  Resume from suspend/hibernate for recording
Posted by: HermanJ - 2005-12-02, 09:36 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Is it possible to resume the pc from a suspend/hibernate mode to do a scheduled recording? I don't like to leave my pc running all the time, because it costs too much electricity and it makes too much noise.
What do you need too wake up a pc? (I've got an old Compaq presario P866 with a hauppauge PVR350 card. It has a wake-on LAN option, mayby that can be tweaked?)
And if it is not possible, do you leave your pc running all the time or do you have a smart solution?

  MVP & screensaver & 0.95.11
Posted by: tkgafs - 2005-12-02, 08:09 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Sorry to keep banging on about this but am I the only person who has the problem that the screensaver does not work when using the MVP with the latest version of GBPVR.

It works fine on the pc and when using the tv-output of a pvr350 but never works when using the mvp and it certainly did before the upgrade.

I have tried the following skins all of which exhibit the fault

Blue, Colour Collection, Christmas Collection, BlueMce2

the screensaver function is turned on in the MVP via the hauppauge software

anybody got any ideas what the problem might be

  Convert dvr-ms to mp4
Posted by: hdtv_watcher - 2005-12-02, 06:53 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

I tried the conversion and ran into a few problems.
The mp4 video had the screen cut off, only the left half or even top 1/4 of the screen was converted and there was no audio

my command:
"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\FFmpeg\ffmpeg.exe" -i surv.dvr-ms -f mp4 -vcodec mpeg4 -s 640x360 -r 15 surv.mp4

I did the mux checker and got this:
NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE.

but the GBPVR is recording, so not sure what's going on Smile

Can you steer me in the right direction?

EPG getting hosed (channel listing disappearing)
Posted by: GeneralChaos - 2005-12-02, 06:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have been having some issues with the recent release of GBPVR in relation to the EPG listings. It doesn't seem to be caused by the same thing either...

The other night I was setting up a bunch of reoccuring recordings and all of a sudden the guide went blank...except for the items that were set to record. However, I was using a 14-day EPG listing and had been changing alot of plugins/skins so I decided to wipe GBPVR and start over.

Now I am using almost program defaults (except I extended the EPG listing from 4 to 7 days). When I was using Search Guide I thought I would be clever and type the first four digits of the show I was looking for...d-r-a-w. (Drawn Together) After typing that, I lost all functionality of the Search Guide...and when I went to check out the TV Guide, that was messed up again too!

Updating the the EPG manually from config.exe solved that little problem, but it is not like it was the most convenient fix. Given this has happened on two different occasions...could it be a big bug? I dunno but I figure it is worth pointing out Smile
