Im new to to gbpvr and i must say that it is a fantastic program, but i am having a little trouble with changing channels to record.
I use DirecTv so my Ir Blaster changes the channels for me and it has no problems changing the channels from the guide and such.
But the problem is when i set a recording, it doesnt always change the channel, it keeps on the same channel and records as a new show. It will only change the channel for one recording, then any recording after that it wotn change channels. I have to exit out and restart the program for it to change for the next sheduled recording.:confused:
Is there anyway to use the windows media keys on a keyboard (i.e. play/pause, stop, ff, rw) to work with GBPVR? I saw someone else post this same question, but his post didn't get a response. Thanks!
I have been recording HDTV into .dvr-ms files since they seem to work the best. However, I would like to make them into .mpg files for more general use. The problem I have is that all methods go fast for a few seconds and then painfully slow after that. The older 0813 Cyberlink mux did this starting at about 20MB. The 1307 mux starts slowing down at 40MB. Yea, only 7.9GB left to go .
Is this normal behavior? It's HDTV, so it might be. I just don't know.
There's been discussion on the MVP forum suggesting deleting numerious records to allow for the MVP to keep up... But, within GBpvr, I only know how to browse to an individual episode and hit delete.
Is there a better way to select many recordings at once? I have hundreds of kid's shows - low quality, some as short as fifiteen min - and to open each up individually in order to delete is going to take forever!
Question: I have several âseason passesâ that I set up using XGuide instead of XRecord. For some reason, shows that I programmed using XGuide do not show up in my Scheduler or in my PriorityRecording.xml. Is there somewhere else this information is stored?
I ask, because there are a couple of shows I want to cancel that keep showing up whenever I run my PostupdateEGP.bat. Could a feature be added to XGuide so that when you select the Delete option on scheduled show on XGuide, that gives you the option of cancelling the individual show, or the entire season pass, if that particular show is set up that way?
And a navigation request, since Iâm at it: Can the left button be used to skip forward an entire page, instead of having to scroll down through the entire listing to get to shows on the next page? Also, when youâre in Preview mode and in the horizontal menu scrolling through the episode list for a particular show, can the down button be used to advance to the next show in the vertical menu, instead of having to hit up to get back to the show menu, and then down to get to the next show?
Great plugin. Since my 2 year old broke a DVD in half I have been waiting for this!
However, I think the batch file truncates filenames if the ISO filename has spaces in the path (all mine are in my docs currently) so daemon and VLC can't find the files. I could move the files, but is there another fix?
I've read somewhere that it's ok to change the GBPVR resolution from 720X480 to 360X240, and that because i'm watching it on a TV, i'd get better file compressions and such... (it was technical and i'm not technical).
I don't really see the difference, yet, but i'm wondering if someone can shed light on this...
