  Remote control support
Posted by: Idioteque - 2005-11-14, 06:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Maybe I missed something obvious but what is the remote control support like for GVPVR? Can I use any old USB/IR remote, er??

I'm getting ready to buy one of the Hauppaugge PVR cards for use with my XP Pro system - not sure which card yet.

can 35 and 45 button remotes both work?
Posted by: scott - 2005-11-14, 02:53 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (4)

Hi Gang. I've been using GBPVR traditionally with the 45 button remote that came with my haup 150 card. I've set the config app to use the 45 button remote.

I now have a mvp which came with a smaller 35 button remote. The 35 button remote doesn't seem to match up - for example - the record button doesn't start recording - but using the 45 button remote (aimed at the mvp) does start recording.

Is there a way to get both remotes to work - or do I have to stick with only one type?

  need cdplayer testers
Posted by: dottore - 2005-11-14, 02:44 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (86)

hi all,

i have finally managed it to get a little cdplayer-plugin working. i know, mymusic and other plugins can play cd's, but they have problems with cd's with data-tracks.
this plugin is just a plain cd-player, without any *.cda-file-thing.

it uses windows-functions to play cd's, it won't work on mvp, just on the pc.

the plugin loads cddb-information, if available.

currently it does not much more than play a cd and display track information. i need a few testers, for i can finish the work on the plugin and add more functionality.

you can download it from here: http://www.sitecomposer.de/cdplayer.zip

thanks!

  Twinhan DVB-T and GB-PVR
Posted by: wadesnj - 2005-11-14, 12:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Sorry for complete newbie ignorance - I'm trying to get my Twinhan DVB-T Mini Ter card to work with GB-PVR. I selected the BDA source, my card is listed, but I still get the message, ""WARNING: The Microsoft MPEG-2 Demultiplexer does not seem to be available on your machine, The encoder pass through interlacing which is currently selected will not function without it." I am running XP Pro SP2. I have Elecard filters, Intervideo filters but Filmerit says the Mpeg2 demultiplexer filter is not registered under CLSID. What do I do?

Does anybody know how to fix the error message:Error:Object reference not set to an instance of an object. What in the world does that mean? And how can I fix it so I can watch live TV.

  GBPVR freezes when selecting items
Posted by: gomjabar - 2005-11-14, 05:30 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Im having a problem with GBPVR freezing if a menu item is selected. It can happen in the main menu and any submenus like VA. Sometimes it unlocks itself and sometimes I have to do a manual restart of the gui. I can post the logs but ive checked gbpvr.exe.log and there are no obvious errors at the time it happens.

  MusicAlbumsII errors
Posted by: Endoc - 2005-11-14, 04:31 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

Hello-

I will admit that I am new to the GBPVR forums/application, but I can usually get plugins working. Unfortunately, the MusicAlbumsII plugin is giving me a bit of a problem. After installing and configuring, I get the following error when trying to access the plugin in GB-PVR:

Error: Object reference not set to instance of an object.

What have I done incorrectly (or failed to do all together)?
