Composite video ... oh yeah ... and a manual ??
Posted by: usbhubman - 2005-11-11, 05:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I use direct video and audio from my 3100 sat receiver. I cannot find anywhere in the configuration to use video / audio instead of channels. I'm sure it must be there, but cannot anyone tell me where the composite video setup is ??

And where can I download a manual for this ? Thanks in advance ...........

  Dynamically change background image
Posted by: Old Dog - 2005-11-11, 04:06 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (9)

Currently, when the GBPVR GUI is running, write access to the Main Menu background image file is denied.

Would it be possible to allow replacement of this file while GBPVR is running and have GBPVR load the new background image the next time the Main Menu is displayed?

  MyDVD Wish
Posted by: steves - 2005-11-11, 10:53 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

MyDVD is a great feature of MyVideos! I've one request though...

Would it be possible to have some form of menu on the DVDs. I use MyDVD to archive off multiple Frasier episodes, and without a menu it's very difficult (at least on my DVD player) to access the different episodes.

Some sort of menu like on commercial DVDs would be nice. I know its quite a complex procedure to create a menu with DVDAuthor (bespoke mpegs etc) with custom displays on it (i.e. titles etc).

What I was thinking of was having a number of precreated menus. One with one button, one with 2 buttons, one with 3 buttons etc etc say up to 10 buttons. The buttons could then easily be used to point to each of the recordings on the DVD in the XML file. No fancy labelling needed just 1,2,3 on each button etc. MyDVD could pick the relevant precreated menu depending on the number of recordings on the DVD.

Would this be possible?

Cheers

Steve

How to record dual language channel (secondary audio) ?
Posted by: libonel - 2005-11-11, 09:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hello everybody,
Gbpvr is a great tool, but i didn't find a way to record a dual language channel. Some channels have dual audio options. E.g. you can view Euronews with french language or with english language. Did you know a way to record with Gbpvr the secondary audio (the second language) or both channels at the same time ?
I want to schedule a record with secondary (or both) audio. It there a way to do it other than changing the audiolang=1 in direct.ini. This way a can record the secondary audio, but all my recordings will have the secondary audio only. Any idea ?

Thank you.

Sorry, this question is almost the same as http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=10477

enter padding with the number keys
Posted by: stefan - 2005-11-11, 07:12 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

We've had a "problem" with nickelodeon during the mornings. Our daughter watches about one hour of nickelodeon (the morning shows) when she gets home in the afternoon. The shows are about 10-15 minutes each, and the times in the EPG are very rarely accurate. So we get about 5 minutes of one show and 5 of the other in each recording :-( So yesterday I came up with the "brilliant" idea to just record the firet show and put a 65 minute post padding on it. She always only watches them all in a row and then we delete them anyway. But it was a PITA to press the right arrow 65 times to change the padding... I wish for the ability to just enter 65 with the number keys.

This is a problem that i receive that error message everytime I do an epg update. The Zap2it data gets downloaded as i can see it in the search and listings. The GBPVRTray.exe.log file shows the following
