Its a filter than works on MS transport streams. mm, I thought, GBPVR can save transport streams but sub says its only for his use, but if it did work would that mean I'd be able to view all the channels in the transport stream. Well half an hour later I did have the transport stream from a GBPVR recording showing in WMP but the functions that show the properties of the stream in WMP just GPFed so I can't tell if the multiple channels are there.
Has anyone else had a go with this before I spend any more time on it?
Sub, I'm glad to see you added the ads. I don't mind them as I'm sure you're the one benefiting from them. Just for the time you put in on the boards you deserve whatever compensation you can get.
I don't know if you have any control over the ads themselves, but some of the ones showing are puzzling crossovers. I get adds for Mazda Mitata accessories on the New Posts page, which I'm 100% clicking on just out of obligation. Whatever determines the cross-promotional link value of that association must be doing some six-degrees of separation to come up w/ the relevance.
Hi!
When using "Aspect Ratio" (F7) function, I have noticed that the picture is stuttering. It works just fine in default mode (so it´s just when i´m pressing F7). What could the reason be?
Sorry I am a real newbie to all this. I saw GBPVR while searching on Google and thought WOW!! Anyway so I got myself a ASUS My Conema P7131 Dual and have installed it. Only trouble is that I am unsure what capture device I should select in the settings. I'm having a nightmare.
I have the WinTV Nova T PCI and my system is an Athlon XP 2400+ and a 6800GT at Ultra speeds.
I am using the nvidia Purevideo Decoder with VMR9 and the description of the Purevideo decoder is that it offloads the decoding to the GPU. Does anyone have any idea what sort of CPU usage I should be getting. At the moment its jumping around between 30-60% which seems a lot.
If I have recorded something (im using the ms-dvr multiplexer at the moment, so recording are in .dvr-ms) and playing through windows media player the cpu usage is only between 10-30%. Through GB-PVR is between 15-40%.
Any ideas or advice or is this pretty normal values?
I installed a GB-PVR but unfortunalely I can't start the program. The message says: can't find WMV9 renderer.Use alternative renderer.. Anyone can help me to start the program?
My pc details: pentium 3, 730 mgh, 256 ram, windows xp , windows media player 10, dirext 9.0c. Please help
please note that my Cyberlink Power Cinema software works just fine. What could be a solution?
Thank you in advance
Just when I think I have everything set up perfect I start having issues with fast forwarding and rewinding. I have it set to use forward and reverse skip both set to 20 seconds. I am using a Hauppauge 150 with InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge.
Last night I was watching a show....paused it for a bit and when I came back hit play everything was great. Once a commercial came on I go to fast forward through the commercial and it wouldnt stop fast forwarding. It showed the parts I havent seen yet in like 10X speed until it cought up with live TV. I couldnt hit play to stop it and it I went to hit rewind it would do the same thing.....just in reverse. Anyone ever had anything like this happen to them?
I'm thinking about adding a USB tuner to my PVR setup. For two reasons, one to capture additional shows, but also to be able to take the USB tuner with me when I travel.
Questions:
1. What is the best usb tuner for the money?
2. Can you run a GBPVR install with a PVR 150(retail) and a USB tuner.
3. What happens if you remove a USB tuner from a working GBPVR install? Does it crash? Or cause recording problems? (I can see the obvious situation of two recordings in the same timeslot will not happen.)
4. Do USB 2.0 tuners work (well) with USB 1.1?
5. What else do I need to consider?
6. Am I just nuts? Why not buy a PVR 150MCE. (cheap)
Thanks for any input offered.
Unrelated. Have people had good luck with NAS as a recording option? Or is it better to record to the HD and move the files to network storage later?
I'm guessing it might be difficult to record and watch off the same NAS drive. Throughput issues perhaps?
