I am having a problem. I can see the TV guide data, and I am able to select a show and watch it, however I am getting no sound through my speakers.
Windows MCE 2005 is being used as the OS. I went into control panel and sounds and played a few sounds to make sure speaker was connected properly and no errors, and the sound is working that way. The no sound appears to be a GBPVR issue, any ideas? Did I forget to do something?
By the way this is all coming in through a Dvico Fusion Lite 5 HDTV card, using a Radio Shack Digital Amplified Antenna for OTA ATSC signal.
I have two locations on the Weather plugin. The first seems to work fine but the second always comes up with a '? Unknown' where the icon should be in the current page.
All the other pages are correct. Is this a bug or has something changed from when there was a problem connecting to the weather on the internet?
Anybody having anything similar? This is not a major problem as the information is correct but I thought I would provide feedback for an excellent plugin.
I cannot get GB-PVR wroking with this card.
The error message I get when clicking on "Digital Channel Mapping" in the configuration program is:
"GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use. (Reason: Failed to locate configured BDA capture device)"
Then when trying to use prog I keep on getting referred back to "Config" again as "no channels have been set up etc"

Is there a way to turn off/defeat the VMR9 check so that I can launch the GBPVR in remote-desktop/terminal services? (It tells me that I cannot launch because of the VMR9 filter. The thing is though if I launch GBPVR from the actual desktop and then login with remote desktop it works fine... it will run, it just won't launch).
I had been leaving GBPVR running all the time (I do not have a media-remote, and so only control this livingroom computer remotely, generally) but I think its RAM usage was contributing to stuttering in the actual recordings. (With everything shut down but the recording service, recordings come out much better.) It would be very nice to be able to launch the program without having to run back and forth.
hi all,
I've just updated from 9105 to 9413 to accomodate my addition of a
media mvp.
My problem is it now takes more than 8 seconds to start live tv on my pc, once it does start all is ok. But of course this delay is too long when trying to use the mmvp (it disconnects because it desires a response within ~8 seconds). Unfortunately the setup using 9105 was not working too well when displaying live tv through the server, hence my choice to upgrade.
I've posted here because this is not an mvp problem, but a general how do I diagnose/fix the startup speed on my system. I've looked at the logs but can not see any debug that indicates what is slowing everything down.
My assumption is its the creation of the bda.grf file but I really don't know.
Changing channels takes about 4 seconds while watching live tv.
My machine is a p4 2.4G and the hdd is doing very little.
I am using MyVideos plugin but on the MyDVD screen the recordings that I want to record do not show. The bar showing the percentage of disc space used shows.
Anybody having similar problems or know how to rectify?
i occured to me today that it seems strange that the duration for a recording in progress constantly is updating, whereas for timeshifting tv its fixed and it just shows what part of the show you have and what part you dont.
i think it would be better if recordings in progress used the same approach as timeshift tv, that way if you push the info button (ie "blue") you could see the actual duration of the thing you are watching, and when its about to end. and you dont lose anything (since it clearly shows what you dont have aswell).
