Driver Level Setting for ATI 550
Posted by: Gawin - 2005-10-24, 01:39 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,

Is there any way to access the more lower level setting in the config menu? Setting such as sharpness, hue, saturation, 3D comb filter parameters etc etc. I could acess those setting in iuVCR along with Sony Vegas Studio but I have no luck finding them in gbpvr.

  My Pictures no show
Posted by: Lindsay - 2005-10-24, 01:33 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

Can't figure why latest My Pictures won't appear in my GBPVR menu. It shows in the config prog and all looks OK (yes, it is ticked!). I have triple checked that all the files are in place but still no show. TIA.

  Show Analyzer and GBPVR
Posted by: bneuman - 2005-10-24, 01:32 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Ok this is going to be a stupid question but here goes...

Is commercial skipping automatic or do you have to run the show analyzer program after show is recorded? In GBPVR config I have use Show Analyzer for Commercial Detection. Also use during recording instead of after. I have the paid for version.

I just got things setup today and I really like gbpvr. Nice work Sub! It's getting late so I guess I'll have to play tomorrow!

  liveTV 'stutters' after channel-surf
Posted by: BobAtTorrey - 2005-10-24, 01:02 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Sub,
I'm using GBPVR v94.13 with MVP. After surfing channels with the remote, I stay on one channel and then LiveTV cycles something like the following:
1. It plays fine for some time (10-20 seconds?)
2. It freezes for 1-2 seconds
3. The screen goes black for about a second
4. While the screen is black, the 'Function' (i.e., square button on the remote) button icon appears at the top right of the screen.
5. Then the icon changes to the 'Play' button icon.
6. Then LiveTV resumes normally for about 10-20 seconds, and this cycle repeats.

I've seen this on numerous occasions. Attached is a ZIP file with the log files.

Thanks in advance.

Bob

  DVD Jukebox Controller
Posted by: Skot - 2005-10-24, 12:39 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

I have to admit this is one of the best software packages I have seen and I am in the custom home automation industry. The best part is that it is FREE!

One wish I would like to see is a DVD Jukebox controller. There are currently media servers that can control a Sony 400 disc DVD changer. When a new disc is added it checks to see what it is and retrieves the Disc information and files and views the DVDs like any media server and will Que the disc when selected from the GUI. The advantage of this is, first of all you wont need terrabytes of Hard Drive space A DVD Jukebox is less expensive then all of the harddrives to hold them all. Also when the standard on the High Def DVDs come out I would rather buy a different DVD changer than even more Hard Drives. Also the advantage of this is you can still use the component out on the DVD Jukeboxes and still get the quality with out buying a better graphics card. It would also be nice to controll multiple DVD Changers, most media servers can control 2. This would be perfect for starting the Hi-Def collection in the other Jukebox.

Let me know what you guys think of this idea.

  MyVideos Playing Random Files
Posted by: maxil - 2005-10-23, 11:10 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

MyVideo keeps playing random files. I click on a video I want to watch and it plays something else in the same folder. I stop it and click the same file again and it plays a different one, and one it goes. Is there a random or shuttle optino somewhere that I'm not aware of. It's getting really annoying because I can't play the video I want to watch.

Thanks for any help.

  Comskip question for Sub
Posted by: nightwalker - 2005-10-23, 10:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Sub:

I've been playing with comskip for the last couple of weeks and I've got it down to where it almost always right on the commercials. It generates the text file and most are right on where the breaks should be.

I have the auto skip checked in config, I'm running it from a post processing bat file.

While watching a recording sometimes it will just skip ahead like i think it should (skipping over the marked breaks) and other times it needs me to do the 0+skip thing manually

Is there something that GBpvr looks for to do the auto skip? Is there something i could tweak a bit to get it to auto skip? Maybe a config setting or something.. I just don't understand why sometimes it auto skips and sometimes not even though the text file has marked what to skip over.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

  Multi Tuner card setup question
Posted by: fiteclub - 2005-10-23, 10:23 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Here is what I want to do. Is it possible.

I have two video capture devices. 1.The Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 and 2. Avermedia 150M. I currently have the Avermedia configured to use internal tuner with my cable tv input and the Hauppauge with s-video to my Dishnetwork satellite box.

Is it possible in GBPVR to set up another device in the config program for the Hauppage capture card only this time for the tuner with cable input. This would allow me to record two different channels off of cable at the same time. If so, I assume GBPVR is smart enough to choose which card to use to avoid possible conflicts with satellite recording.
