I was wondering why i can't change the order of the video libraries. It doesn't matter what order I put them in, it will always put a network folder ahead of local folders. I even tried reversing them in config.xml and it still displays the network one first. Any ideas on how to manually set the order?
Please make the mute button work! I am trying to boos the Wife Acceptance Factor, as all married guys do (or at least should try) and believe it or not the mute button would increase the WAF significantly!
Had a streak of bad luck... my main PC blew it's motherboard after a year of instability; next PC (a celeron 900mhz) I was trying w/ an MVP due to hardware issues.
Now, my wife has offered her laptop for use as our GBPVR unit.
I'm thinking I can put a large HD in an external USB enclosure. But I can't afford to buy a PVR USBII device for input.
Is there anyway to get my existing PCI card to work in a laptop?
- through a USB interface of some sort, or a PCMIA card "adapter," or something like that? I'm doubting it, but thought I'd ask!
Under Misc Tab I have checked off Dont Record duplicates (zap2it)
I am using zaptoit
But every show that is sheduled with same description records anyways
Very frustrating.. I have never had it work
Also I have Auto-skip commercials enabled. I put comskip.exe in the directory
I see a bunch of xls files and text files, but the recordings have all the commercials in it..
I am having a problem with my automatic EPG updating it has stopped working. I have to update manually. It seemed to stop working after the latest release. I tried switching the update time but it still does not work. Any help would be great.

Hey everyone, I'm in college and GBPVR saved my life because for the first few weeks I was going crazy without being able to record TV shows for future watching. Finally got a PVR-150 to record on desktop. Anyway, I have a question and hopefully there's a solution. The school doesn't want any servers just openly running on their network because of security reasons [not to mention bandwidth.] I was wondering if it were possible to restrict the GBPVR web interface to 2 MAC addresses [my laptop hardwire and my laptop WAN] and to disallow all other access so I'm not in violation of rules [they said I could limit by MAC address.] Another option would be authentication, but I don't know if the GBPVR interface is enough, maybe something equivilant to the apache .htaccess/.htpasswd scheme. Thanks in advance for any help.
