I have two types of movie files on my computer.
1. movies ripped as divx .avi ....these playback great
2. movies ripped as one large vob with dvd decrypter, which I have renamed as '.mpg' files. These work fine in my windows environment but won't playback sound within GBPVR program.
I'm sure I'm just missing something really obvious because it seems like these use to work for me a few months ago...(we just moved 2 months ago and I'm going through the process of trying to reset my HTPC)
My motherboard uses Nvidia nforce2 chipset and integrated realtek audio with SPDIF out. Video decoder's available are cyberlink (good version that supports vmr and spdif 5.1 channel out) as well as nvidia player and whatever the stock xp player is.
I have no problem watching (and listening) to recordings which are also mpegs but I can't understand why the ripped movie files don't have sound.
Help.......

One of my last missing features in GB-PVR would be that, whenever there is a conflict between a one-time show and another show which is airing several time in the week for the same episode, the priority should be set automatically for the one-timer.
An whenever we look in the TV Guide at a show which is aired several time and is scheduled to be recorded another day, that this information be added to the show's description. So we will know that GB-PVR is not forgetting to record it but it has just decided to prioritize another show at that time...
And in the VideoArchiver, in 'Reoccuring Recordings', when selecting and Recording, it would be cool to see all the airing time (a la X-Search) with the episode title.
While I love my 500MCE, I miss using a remote like when I had my 350. But, when I find what works with my 500, I'll perhaps buy one. Until then, what keyboard controls the stop, start, pause etc. when in main screen mode? I can't figure out how to operate it and the using the mouse doesn't work for audio for me.
Thanks
I am new to the forum and could use some help. I just installed a pvr150 in a 2200 amd with on board video that has 32 m shared. The cpu usage in gbpvr goes way up to 100 % when i use live tv. It is to the point if i try to do something else the tv picture flutters. In wintv i do not seem to have this problem and when the tv is playing i only use abount 46 % of the cpu and i can use other applications with no problem. Just wondering if i have something set wrong in gbpvr??? Will a new video card help this problem???
If so what would be the suggestions? i was looking at a fx5200, i do not play games. Thanks for any help.
Is there a way to define the arrows that show up on the TV Guide? I was going to try to skin a bar that went all the way across the entire guide - from top to bottom, curious if it was possible.
Is there any documentation on changing the format of whats skinned in the clock - like say, Shortened day (Mon instead of Monday), shortened month, etc.?
When you hit numbers, they appear in the bottom left by default as white on a grey box. Where is that skinned? I wanted to move it somewhere else/change the font.
