  New PVR-150 Drivers
Posted by: UncleJohnsBand - 2005-10-14, 12:06 AM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

Hauppage in the US posted new PVR-150 Drivers.....I loaded them and uninstalled them. The sound was weaker and the picture quality was not as good as the drivers from 10/2004.

Proves the old statement....if it ain't broke don't fix it.. Wink

  New skin in the works
Posted by: sivilya - 2005-10-13, 10:04 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (7)

Hi All,

I'm currently working on this new skin (in Hebrew at the moment and made up for PAL TV). I'm looking for some feedbacks and if there will be an audiance for it I will release it in English and NTSC format as well.

This is the main menu screen - not completely finished - missing are the logo, the tasks descriptions and maybe some small tweaks...

If you'll like it I will post more preview images as they'll be ready...

  Auto-create recordings export
Posted by: capone - 2005-10-13, 09:07 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (6)

Is there a way to have GB do the Export Recordings from the CP at night or as part of the PostEPG.bat? It's a great thing to do, but not so easy when it means going into the CP to do and restarting everything.

I was fixing a partition and moved my recoridngs folder. I had chekced the online guide during this time, and it seems it cleaned up the DB and I lost all my recordings.

has anyone gotten TV wonder pro card to work?
Posted by: Jay12451 - 2005-10-13, 08:35 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

I was unsure of the TV WONDER PRO card was supported by gbpvr, and was wondering if anyone has gotten it to work with gbpvr. Mine wont actually record a program. it says its recording the program, and when its done, the program appears on the list of ready to watch recordings. but the file size is 0 bytes. indicating that it recorded nothing.

Cannot access network drives via MVP
Posted by: dane - 2005-10-13, 08:29 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

Just started using GB-PVR few days ago, very impressed so far.

I can access movies, photos, mp3 files, only if they are located on the same PC as GB-PVR MediaMVP Server is running. I Cannot access files which are located on another PC on my LAN via MVP.
If I run GB-PVR on my PVR PC, I can access any file on my fileserver which is on the same LAN as my PVR PC.

Any good ideas? Or do I really need to copy all my files from my fileserver to my PVR PC?

By the way, the Web interface has same problem.

  Need for timed recording
Posted by: Paul R - 2005-10-13, 08:22 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I've just upgraded my PC and moved from a Hauppauge Analogue PC card to an Asus My Cinema-P7131 Dual TV tuner and FM Radio Card-PCI. Everything working OK (though not impressed with My Cinema software), but there is no facility to make scheduled recordings. Will this software do it for me?

  No hibernation after recording
Posted by: peterk - 2005-10-13, 07:50 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi there,

my GBRVR system does not behave as wanted: After scheduling some recordings I let my system go to hibernation (using the external poweroff.exe as custom task). It wakes up on time as exspected. But then it doesn't go to hibernation again.

I found some similiar issues in this forum but didn't found an answer. Is this right, that no windows system configuration needs to be done for GBPVR hibernation? Are there any GBPVR configurations I may have missed?

I'am using a Biostar iDEQ 210V with a Hauppauge PVR USB2. There is no mouse etc. connected which may cause "user interaction".

Anybody here who has an idea?

Thanks & Greetings
Peter

  GB-PVR and ReplayTV
Posted by: rudou - 2005-10-13, 07:43 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

If this is in the wrong thread...my apologies....

I am a newbie to all this so please bear with me...
I have looked through various threads here and other sources, but have not found anything.

GB-PVR is great. I pull the listings through Zapit and recordings are fine and I can watch the shows on my PC.

Here is what I would like to do:
I am using GB-PVR w/ Sapphire Theatrix 550 card to record shows that I would like to import into DVArchive to stream to my ReplayTV. (I record additional shows because the ReplayTV only has one tuner).

Installed latest drivers from ATI for 550 Pro card.

My settings in GB-PVR
Recording Source: Direct Recording Plugin
Capture Card: ATI Theater 550 Pro
Board #: Capture Device #1
Source: Internal Tuner

Quality Profile Settings: Medium & Custom #1
Vid Resolution: NTSC 480x480 (and have tried NTSC 720x480)
Bit Rate: 6000 (currently) (have gone down to 4000)
Bit Rate PEAK: 9700
Audio Bit Rate: 224 (have tried 112,160,192,256,320)
Audio Sample Rate: 48 Khz

Under the Misc tab: (Mostly default settings)
Disabled Live Preview mode
BDA Multiplexer:
Microsoft DVR-MS

The problem I encounter is when I want to run the mpg files through "RTVConvert" to prep for importing to the Replay unit via DVArchive.

I recieve an error:
"unsupported audio rate - must be 112-320Kbps"

I was hoping someone here may have tried this in the past or is doing something like this.
I am hoping it's something I have configured incorrectly.
Any insight or info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks....
