I have had a problem for a while with my set up - I can't access live tv on the MVP (Sub helped me with this), gbpvr takes 10 minutes to open on the PC, seemed to always be spinning it's wheels at 20-30% cpu...
Well tonight, I restart gbpvr from the config screen and watch task manager for 10 minutes as peak mem usage rises to 212MB, cpu racing - then it falls away to 48MB and 0% cpu. And lo, the MVP comes straight on.
I did some digging and found this in my gbpvr log:
10/5/2005 6:52:37 PM.781 VERBOSE [2] Adding: Right FM_RIGHT
10/5/2005 6:52:37 PM.781 VERBOSE [2] Adding: Home FM_HOME 10/5/2005 6:52:38 PM.234 VERBOSE [2] getDatabaseConnection() creating new connection 10/5/2005 6:59:50 PM.453 VERBOSE [2] getValue cached value: /settings/EPGProcessingMode : NORMAL

10/5/2005 6:59:51 PM.390 VERBOSE [2] SimpleScreenSaverTask created
I looked in the directory and gbpvr.mdb is over 300MB - does this sound right to you guys? I'm guessing that the delay is while it loads this and 'does it's thing'.
I have never reinstalled gbpvr in nearly 12 months; always updated over the top.
Would it be worth reinstalling, or am I going in the wrong direction?
This is as of the most recent version available as of 10-05-2005. I dont have the specific version number of the plugin (the dll version is 1.0.2096.19520).
This covers everything in the blue themes skin, I believe. I've removed extraneous stuff but if there are other settings I have NO idea what they are. If you have any addition comments or information on what the heck certain things do, please let me know and I'll add them in.
Note that the 'unused' items seem to still need to be in the skin file or GBPVR freaks out. I have NO idea why.
Notes:
- Certain text items have 'linked' colors (they share the same text color attribute). Keep this in mind as some text items in the popups are shared with items in the normal search lists, etc.
- The popups, aside from their backgrounds, appear to be completely unskinnable - you can't even move them/resize them at all. Only the background element is alterable and thats about the only reference to the popups in the skin file.
- The left.gif and right.gif files, used in the advanced scheduling popups, are 28x28 and are stretched to that size if they're not already at it. They are only used in the 'Schedule' option popup, the 'advanced' popup appears to be skinned somewhere else even though it gets some of it's text settings from this skin.xml (Xrecord???).

I need some help i just got the plugins for My Picture With the Skin BlueMCE2.
And the "MY PICTURE" is not in the Screen, To get it working i need to change to the original blue Skin, I dont know what i am doing wrong.
I have install the latest GB-PVR. Thanks
I was wondering if there's a plugin that will play slideshows of my pictures, along with their corresponding voice annotations (if available)? I know that My Pictures currently does slideshows, but it doesn't play the corresponding voice annotations (that I'm aware of).
I love voice annotations because it helps the slideshow come alive!
If i run this bat manually it goes fine. But at 3am it crashes with:
Any ideas?

I updated to GBPVR v94.13 today and so far so good but I am unable to do anything in video playback after recording a show. If I use the buttons to pause or FF/RR it exits the recording. Does the same if I use the keyboard shortcuts. Videos play fine in Moonlight video player. I thought maybe the skip times were setup in min, which they were but I went into config and changed it to seconds and restarted the program, no good. Anyone else had this problem?
in my music 3 what would you guys prefer
option 1 - file structure, leave it as is, it may be alittle quicker, but sorting isnt as good
option 2 - a database, could then sort by album year, tracknumber, genre, etc, and see all the albums in one place even if they are in different directories etc, but this means you would have to manually update the database everytime you added music to your collection (the cdripper inside my music would do this automatically its only needed if you add music outside the plugin)(i would add another button called "Update DB" to do the update, so you wouldnt need to quit gbpvr and go into the config app).
Just wondering about why the heck things are linked together in skinning of this plugin - specifically the general text being linked to the keyboard outline color and the selected general text being linked to the TimeElement.
Is this a GBPVR restriction or something that was coded on purpose? I want to change each text appearance so I can have a certain color scheme, but it gets all screwed because I'm forced to have certain elements be certain fonts/colors because of this linking.
Also, the 'selection bar', is there a way to fix the way it looks for smaller heights (it gets a fanged look) and change the color of the border (or remove it)? This carries over to the keyboard - if you make it small it gets all 'fangy' as well .
TIA.
(this skinning, combined with my thesis writing, is going to freaking give me a stroke)
if you enter a manual recording, when you get down to the line with the name, if you type backspace or left/right arrow, it pops up an error dialog and the entry is discarded.
BTW on a related note, it would be neat if the entry could have this name when listed in the "pending" rather than just "manual recording".
