The latest Comkip77.zip file that can be downloaded from http://mk.kaashoek.com/gbpvr/ has a comskip.exe with an integrated mpeg viewer.
When started with the -w switch a debugwindow will open.
During the processing progress will be shown in a graphical way.
Once finished the mpeg preview positions to frame 1.
Then it is possible using keyboard keys and the mouse to review the results by scanning through the mpeg file.
Its is possible to jump from black frame to black frame and from cutpoint to cutpoint.
This version has been tested on PAL and NTSC
Please read the included debugwindow.rtf for how-to-use.
Please read the included tuning.rtf on how to use the debugwindow for optimizing comskip.ini
Again, any feedback is welcome.
Although I don't know if anyone would do this very often, I'm encountering a problem doing it on my system. I have a PVR500 and a PVR150 installed in my system. When recording the PVR500 tuners get used first and when watching LiveTV the PVR150 tuner is used.
During a little 2 minute test record (to check some contrast/saturation/brightness changes), I also was watching on LiveTV the same channel that I was recording with one of the PVR500 tuners. I then exited out of LiveTV, went into recordings and cancelled the test recording. I then went back to the Ready option of Recordings and played the test recording. Here's the weird part -- the only thing that was in the test recording was the LiveTV buffer of about 11 seconds. That's it.
When I go to the folder I've designated for recordings, there is no folder for the show I was test recording, and definitely no video files. However, when I go back into GBPVR and look in recordings, the test recording is supposedly there, but it's the wrong recording.
I have only found this happening under these circumstances. Meaning, I have frequently been recording three different shows at one time, and they've never been mixed up before. I have also been recording one or two shows at the same time as watching LiveTV, but never the same channel on LiveTV that I was recording (if that makes sense).
Any ideas (or should I just not do that? haha). Is the problem that I'm cancelling the recording which causes GBPVR to get mixed up?
I was wondering if there was a way to sort the reoccurring directory in Record? Right now it is displayed in the order which I added the shows. Thanks.
Being as sub already locked the 94.13 thread and a few people posted live tv stutter problems (I guess I wasn't the only one who's had these problems) I thought I'd start a new thread for people to post in here with their live tv stutter problems.
My config: 94.12, PVR350 and Blackbird cards. Don't know what other info would be useful to trace down the problem. Someone posted this problem started appearing after 93.10 (if I'm not mistaken).
Have any of you built one of these yet? Its a pretty sweet little box. Mine is doing pretty well but I'm having some trouble with the IR features.
I put a Hauppauge PVR250 in it (not mce). It came with a small silver remote and an IR dongle. I can get the hauppauge remote working with the GBPVR interface but I would like to use the remote that came with the system or perhaps one of the original TV remotes. The 180 has a built in IR system to support its remote. Is there any way I can use it instead of the Hauppauge remote?
How do I get the GBPVR to change my Charter/Motorola cable box so I can watch the digital channels?
My other question is about zap2it TV listings. Is zap2it the best service to use? It said its free for a trial. Can somebody tell me what it costs to use or if there is something better?
The European Model of the Plextor TV402U is shipped with
a 36 button Remote Control including a small USB receiver.
Did anybody get this device to work under GBPVR yet?
Any hint in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
Hey y'all. Had a question for you TV-savvy people
I may have to move from the US to Europe soon, and was wondering what I could take with me
I saw voltage adapters (up to 7500 watts) for a decent price, so I suppose that ain't an issue. I saw SCART to S-video adapters, so at least connector wise, I'd be able to plug a Euro satellite TV box into a TV or my PVR-500, for exemple.
However, what I don't know is wether a S-video or composite output is still using NTSC/PAL codings, or if that's only for antenna/cable reception over coax cable
So, does anyone know if I can reuse my TV, MVP or Hauppauge capture cards in Europe?
