Hi everyone,
When I bought my hauppauge 250 I didn't get a remot and I would like to purchase one and I was wondering if I absolutely needed to get the hauppauge remote control or if I can just buy one online?
I also have an old audigy platinum that came with a remote, would/could it work through my board and gb-pvr?
First, I would like to thanks the GBPVR team for this superb software
When I record a show with the EPG (sheduled recording), it start but keep on recording after the show is ending. then a messge appear in windows
"failed to load resources from resource file please check your setup"
After reading the forum/wiki:
- I disabled my firewall (outpost),
- I have a digital cable box, but the the âmap channels to EPGâ button is blank.
-check to be shure that i have the latest hauppage drivers
but no luck!
I will try a clean install of GBPVR tonight, maybe that will help!
here are the 2 log file:

I'm sorry if I'm just being daft, but doesn't gbpvr come with more than just the default blue skin? The dropdown in config shows multiple skin choices but blows up quite ungracefully if I select any of the others. Are these supposed to be downloaded separately?
I looked in the skins sub-directories and it appears the only skin that has a complete installation is the default blue one, but the other standard ones listed do at least have a few files, but no where near a complete set. For instance, the Flat Blue - High Visibility skin just has two sub-directories in it's folder, a Common and something else, but all told it's only a few files, where the default Blue has many, many files. I reran the gbpvr installation thinking perhaps my install was simply screwed up, but that didn't appear to change anything.
Sorry if I'm being a newb here, but I've never tried another skin before.
Can some1 tell me if my signal strength is what is causing me to not be able to recieve any channels? freeview.co.uk say they dont have my postcode and the nearest one to me are listed as out of area, even though I live only 5 miles line of sight from the transmitter.
I have just purchased a Freecom DVB-T TV USB Stick and was hoping that I can used it with GBPVR. After reading a few thread I sent an email to Freecom support to ask if this was BDA complient and was informed that its not.
Is there anything I can do to make this card work with GBPVR? Does anyone know of software that may work with this card (I dont really want to use the software this card is supplied with)?
I am sorry for my third question, i am not sure if this is the right topic. Please move it, if not.
I use the GB-PVR meanwhile as standalone Software (the old myHTPC was deleted by me).
I can watch TV in super quality, all channels are available at cable. Now i have a question for that i didn't found an answer till now.
On my TV-Card (Hauppauge! WinTV PVR-150) is a Set-Top Box connected to the S-VHS IN. I would love to see my cinematic movies from my ISP over the Set-Top Box. But for that i have to change the channel from "normal" canal to S-VHS Input. How can i do this?
Through a lot of tweaking and reading here I've gotten to a point where I'm happy with playback in just about any format except one little nuisance. I have yet to watch an entire movie without one or 2 hickups where the picture freezes, sound continues and the picture then plays catch-up a second later.
I've tried to avoid all kind of scheduled tasks etc. that might mess things up, but I can't seem to identify the culprit here.
Do you guys have any good tips for identifying the cause of such intermittent slowdowns of the PC - or just how to get rid of them?
